You should totally try out the other national albums. In a way, I Am Easy To Find (both the album and short film) was the precursor to folklore/evermore BUT a listen to Trouble Will Find Me or Sleep Well Beast perhaps? Similar enough but different. Saying that Alligator, Boxer and High Violet were also masterpieces of indie rock in particular. It may also surprise you to find that Tropic Morning News is the most in line with the energy of a lot of their singles imo

Love to see an reaction for full album from the National and not only the Swift. Matt Berninger, leadsinger and writer was stuck in some writing block, In need of some new words read the first two pages of Frankenstein and that helped him write lot of tracks of this album. Just having a fresh insight of words.

Nice reaction If you want more from The National and Phoebe Bridgers that definitely features her singing, they released a separate song called Walking on a String for the movie Between Two Ferns: The Movie a while back. It's gorgeous. Tropic Morning News (and to an extent Alien/Grease In Your Hair) are more like songs from one of their prior album which had a heavier electronic beat (Sleep Well Beast.) This album by comparison is definitely lighter than the prior ones.

Please… if you like Lyrics take a listen to other The National Albums, cause they’re all incredibles! 😎 High Violet, Trouble will find me, Sleep well beast, Boxer, I am easy to find… all masterpieces in my opinion. 😊

I think the album is titled ‘First Two Pages of Frankenstein’ due to Matt having writers block and reading classic novels for inspiration. I guess the first two pages maybe kicked something into gear..

This is their worst album by a mile. Boxer is the best place to start, or literally any of the 5 albums before this. You should react to those!

New Order T Shirt...snapshots of nostalgia. Even the title New Order T Shirt referencing the band. Aaron Dessner was the best thing to happen to Taylors music. The National are special.
