This hack had so much slowdown and general glitchiness, with respawning at the wrong Starposts, path swappers acting out, and Warp Rings not even showing up in multiple places. I wasn't really into the level design either tbh. It finally crashed in Tidal Tempest, and I felt like I pushed myself through for nothing. This hack was heavy on good ideas, but I feel the makers needed more time to hone their skills before doing something this huge.

It's funny how Shadow has a lot,like.a.LOT.of abilities. 1.spindash. 2.Hover Air Shoes. 3.Weapon. 4.Chaos Energy. 4.1.Attract Rings to itself. 4.2.Creates a Temporary shield. 4.3.Hits everything that touches it. 5.Has a combo sequence of 4 attacks and a tackle. 6.Can spend 5 rings to make a dash run. 7. Has a Super Form. 7.1.Destroy any badnik with some psychic power. 7.2.Becomes faster when using air shoes. 7.3.Spend only 1 ring to dash. 7.4.Can cancel the transformation.

This hack is actually great. It doesn't lazily recolor zones,change music and change the names. This is one of the hacks that actually put effort with new layouts and art and many more. It has alot of bugs but if you just polish the hack it would be amazing. The music is not bad but it's not good either. But it's defiantly better than the sonic chronicles sound track. But in other words this is a really neat hack. It just needs to be polished.

I have a different nit-pick about this hack. I don't like hacks in general that change and mix up drum samples and drum kits, here we can hear the sonic 1 & 2 bass drum with the Moonwalker/Shinobi III snare drum, I dislike that, I prefer to hear the original pre-set drum samples that were in the original games. Also I have to agree with Ghostly Winds that the music is pretty bad.

I will say, I'm in awe at how accurate they got Sonic Spinball's game over theme in SMPS, which eases some of my fears of it being impossible to have near-1:1 ports of GEMS songs into SMPS.

The title screen is self aware... Oh jeeze indeed... Hope this hacks not too bad. Aaaand it's still bad.. Sonic got... Got what? And that continue sonic icon flashing at the shadow transaction scene.... Ooooh boy...This Game has still got some bugs to fix. The music i dislike a lot it doesn't feel right at all... The game itself well yay for making bosses fart out rings but again the developer needs to test there own game and fix things before submitting it in. I question this games identity.. Its all over the place with bugs, graphic issues and many levels that have too much formulars that again makes me ask if this is a return of shadow why is there sonic CD elements in 1 stage? Why are sonic 2 specail stages high on sugar rush? And why cant the creator find music that doesn't sound like an awkward bowl movement? The game could be better if it's not trying to force itself to be like sonic mania witch it wont due to what the hack is supplying in mechanics level design and imagination and also what this hack is lacking. But, that's my opinion and nit picks to a good hack turning to crap.

But when it comes to generic hacks that lazily just do color swaps and a name change it gets no criticism. This hack actually tried to put effort.

During the previous version, it was actually considered my favorite hack (because of his op stompdash), I had a lot if enjoyment, so far this new version gameplay wise seems better in every aspect and a lot more polished, it's just the music that's changed and I prefer the old music

Ghostly Winds oh, but from this point it's a get good at because the last version there are annoying glitches that happen once every few acts like getting stuck in a wall and stuff, but those are avoidable if you learn to just dodge those mistakes. But I agree that it should be polished, tho soke glitches lead interesting funny moments, I just like to have fun and discover stuff Although this version looks more polished. Favorite glitch being while charging up for drop dash in tidal tempest past on the older version, you stay afloat on water while the water is falling down
