I feel like more could be customized on this mod to make it feel more like Sonic 4. I think for the time being, it should be considered a lightly customized version of Sonic 3 A.I.R: Sonic 4 edition. I still love the fact they made a unique soundtrack of the Super form music, while still making it seem like Sonic 3 and Sonic 4 at the same time. Great upload this Thursday man 💯

Imagine a Sonic game for the next generation that aspires to be a fresh take on the proven classics, taking advantage of the technology offered by the consoles and computers of that time to bring the tried-and-true physics-based platforming of the 16-bit classics to a new crowd. Did you imagine it? Good. Sonic 4: Episode I is none of those things I mentioned, and is usually considered to be one of Sonic’s worst 2D outings by many Sonic fans. I don’t think it’s irredeemable, but it’s not worthy of the “Sonic 4” branding. At its heart, it’s a game that’s mostly a retread of Sonic 1 & 2 levels and bosses, complete with physics and level design that are almost nothing like the 16-bit games. You’re welcome to try it, and who knows? You might find something to like about it.

@@Need4Speeds Yeah, i don't know about that. Sure, the Sonic 4 games rehash zones from Classic Sonic games, but that's the thing. They rehash those zones. But they're so different(level design-wise and especially music-wise) that the creators also gave different names for them, unlike Sonic Mania, which straight up take the Classic zones, give them new graphics and make some remix musics for them in act 2 and just new act 2s and (mostly) new bosses. Also, i think from what i heard, the Sonic 4 games were supposed to be between Sonic 3 and Knuckles and Sonic Adventure. So Sonic was growing into Dreamcast Sonic.(even though he didn't gain weird teeth yet) The Sonic from the mod doesn't look as modern, so, yeah. You're still wrong. This isn't supposed to be a Sonic 4 game. It's supposed to be a mixture of Sonic 3 and Knuckles and the Sonic 4 games, with the visuals being from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, and the music(and Homing Attack, even though it's different here.) being from the Sonic 4 games.
