Colonthree Enterprises What's funny is that the Mega Drive was known by its little good songs or even not having any good music. Sonic with its songs was a contradiction in its own console!

This music flashes me back to early Saturday mornings in 1995 where I'd get up early and go through the 2P stages in TimeAttack until breakfast. I still have my original Sonic3 cart with my best times. I was able to get all of the zones done in under 35 seconds, except for Endless Mine which I couldn't get under 50 seconds =P. I was only 5 back then, omg. Thanks so much for the flashback! =)

What amazes me is the amount of effort that was put in by the song composers...to even the special stages that should have much less priority, but.. each stage has its own track that beats ANY VG music made today, let alone from modern Sonic games. Love the stereo sound in this on high quality mode. Awesome track, so nostalgic:(

I will STILL say left and right that I LOVE what they did for Generations with this piece, but I STILL wish that they had at least thought to bring in some of those mini race stages into Generations where you could play as Classic Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails and make them a little bit longer or maybe more intricate, just to give it that absolute perfect homage piece. Ah, one can dream, eh?

I remember when I was 3 years old listening to this tune on my old Genesis, not understand why I kept getting FAULT when crossing that yellow post before the timer ended hahahah and this stage theme song and not being able to pass that damn red and white cylinder in Carnival Zone act 2, and those two memories are perhaps the most iconic memories I hold when I think back those bliss times, when the world was simple and I didn't worry about shit. This was used in Sonic Generations as a remix in City Escape for Classic Sonic. As an HOMAGE TO THE PAST. This is in no way shape or form related to City Escape other than that purpose. And that was made in 2011. So no, it's not an 'older version' of City Escape. I guess only fans over the age of 12 know that.
