Sonic Adventure 2 - Final Rush

Alright, time for the final stage of Hero Story from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle! Final Rush is the most rail-infested stage in the entire game, they're everywhere!
Although this is Sonic's last stage, even on Hard Mode it doesn't even compare with Crazy Gadget... probably because Final Rush has minimal glitches and has minimal locations where the game could truly make it "hard".
In this particular run of Final Rush I have one rather large screw up, which more or less happened due to sudden, unpredicted movements from the little blue glitch-infested rodent. XD
I'm a little rushed for time due to lots of work to be done, so I'll give a bit of a run-down of the stage...
Lots of rails, lots of different routes you can go, lots of hidden little secrets, and about medium difficulty due to the stage being one huge bottomless pit... all-in-all... it's fun, but I prefer most of Sonic's other stages over it.

Just like how I hated Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road at first because I fell off of it almost all the time, but then I trained a lot, became good at the track and then it became one of my favorite ones!

Even years later you did an awesome play through. I recently dusted off the Gamecube after many, many years, inserted SA2 and I played very badly - HA! Even though my save file tells me 100% completion I don't even remember how I did it.

i remember playing this on the dreamcast when I was younger and ragequitting multiple times. Than my mom bought me a gamecube, and i wanted to try it again. so I bought this game, me and my friend spent hours beating this godforsaken level. Today i was looking for a walkthrough, but decided to try it again first.. I only died twice :P I love this game :D

2 things: 1: In Shadow the Hedgehog, Space Gadget has always reminded me of this level. 2: I originally thought that they should make a Sonic Adventure 3DS, but then that idea (that I made up which could have been a good game) was replaced with Sonic Generations.

Love this stage, tryed many speed runs on this, it's just that you have to be lucky to hit the damn rails without missing them, it's all about being lucky... My best was only a B, but it's probably cuz i never keep enough rings or points.

Yes, it is. The stage itself appears in Generations as a boss stage. So yeah, technically, Final Rush is a stage in Sonic Generations.

I've used that. The part I'm referring too is at 3:00 and no matter what I do Sonic slows down RIGHT before the bumper. I end up having to glitch to the platform that you're supposed to get to and bounce onto the rail, dying 2/3 of the time.

Exactly, games are meant to be fun first and realism should come after. I think that the overuse of realism in many of todays games has diluted the amount of fun that they could have. I liked this game a lot more than what the reviews said about it.

My favorite upgrade had to be hidden power- if i recall- this was when u held down the spin dash button and monsters around u exploded. It wasn't a month l8r when i held it down fully and i figured out when u release it around an enemy sonic goes "kaboom". I was about to explode with excitement about using this and sure enough, in crazy gadget i used this around those monsters that explode babies and i thought this was sooo epic. I realy
