The Ken Penders Knuckles lore is that his dad Locke was an asshole and had a dream about the end of the world so he microwaves Knuckles with Chaos energy and teaches him the lessons of the brother hood/gardens by giving Knuckles generational trauma. Knuckles dad than has 2 different ways he dies in two different archie cannons. One where he's on his death bed and the other where he sacrafices himself.
