There is potential that Sonic could like Amy back, if she wasn't a little crazy and being too quick to marriage and whatnot, he just isn't ready to settle down, that could explain why he runs away from her instead of just telling her that he isn't interested.

@@S.omeone618 That was his personality the whole time, even in the classic games. Sonic was created to be an anti-Mario after all, which means he wouldn't get romantically involved with anyone.
