I did it with characters other than metal sonic (examples: Tails (Super Handling) on tricky traffic (expert) / Amy (Standard) on the expert pursuit events (I called her Amy the elite pursuit soldier after I completed all of the expert pursuit events as Amy) / AGES (Standard) on the carnival clash event)

Funny thing, this may be unbelievable but I have the 3ds version of the game because Mario kart 7 was becoming repetitive for me. I wanted a challenging racing game and I found it here. But here's the sad thing though. No one's online on the 3ds version of the game. But everyone is on Mario Kart 7 till this day.

The most I can do is get most of the events finished on medium, and that's even with doing stunts, transform boosts, double flips and angle rolling. I've been using Vyse, but it looks like Metal Sonic's better for the events...
