This is actually way more deeper then what everyone thinks. What makes this video so traumatic is that movie sonic is just a brand new sonic that only recently been made. However he has yet to experience all the challenges that modern had faced and this video shows that. Movie sonic has only experienced his mother’s death and nearly dying twice but in those two moments, he actually defeated eggman, modern has consistently fought against several god like beings that could destroy a multiverse with just existing. The swap might have a different effect on sonics than other mobians because most of the time they have experienced the same thing in their separate timeline. Most of the people modern sonic swapped with are from his dimension, or in shadinas case experienced the same event but movie hadn’t even met his version of mobius yet. And it highlights the reason why modern doesn’t want to talk about 06 not because of its obvious flaws (like kissing Elise) but because it’s literally the one time he’s actually truly died. This sonic has dealt with perfect chaos, the biolizard, void, Neo metal sonic, metal overlord, egg salamander, a robot from a ancient civilization that was so powerful that a god feared it that even had the emeralds and the power of a canon made of the energy of several collapsed stars combined with the skills of every freedom fighter (including chaos) in his base form In just 30 minutes. Mephiles killed sonic like he was a joke and nearly succeeded in his plan had it not been for Elise and his friends bringing him back to life. Movie has a huge chance of going through the same fate if there planning on making 06 in the movie. This is incredible writing

Movie Sonic didn't need to know about the events of such a terrible game...could be worse, he could've gained the memories of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric..clearly this was before Jules reappeared...either that or they're taking it slow with him moving in. 17:00 - If Sonic was to switch with Sonica...they'd likely see each other's version of that. (Sonica '06, where Sonica rescues Prince Ellis from the pigtailed Eggmadam.)
