I like it...the music fits this version...normally Stardust Speedway theme is high action and top speed, but now that its no longer a race track and plants taken over...its slowed down with some jazz style...I love this

Johnny Garcia i think they are both good, and act1 captures more of the calming yet temporary theme of the past tracks from cd, which is quite faithful to the orginal,( despite the hue being absent) and this remix does somewhat have its own remixes compared to tee lopes, (yes the hues) of course it would be easy to just bring back the same song with a slightly better audio quality( thats how oil ocean zone ended up) but he fully revamped the track in act 1, and really if it had atleast 1 hue i would lean to his side, but this version both used the source of stardust speedways source audio and included alot more, they both shine in their own aspects

Thank you! I appreciate it. I always felt like the sample quality in the original was very low. I used much better samples, but kept the "HUEHUEHUE" and the disc scratches; I added a filter on both of them so they can sound better.

I love Tee Lopes and his remixes but tbh I dont think Stardust Speedways Past theme works best as Smooth Jazz, the original is my favorite song in Sonic CD for having a somber sad feeling with a bit of a choir vibe near the ending of the loop which I adore, that feeling was lost in Manias remix despite it still being good, this remix perfectly replicates the feeling the original convayed which is why I prefer this. At the end of the day music is subjective so it doesnt matter which version you like best, this song is amazing no matter how you look at it to me

I guess I'm not the only who thinks that the Past theme for Stardust Speedway was not just funky but also had hint of worry and despondence. Considering the Roman styled architecture in the background, Stardust Speedway always seemed to me to be in my imagination this city that had trouble in growing in the right direction. While the present has Robotnik as its mayor/ruler, the past feels that though everything is calmer and quieter, the ruins in the background inbetween the inhabited buildings gave off this Caligula/Nero vibe, where the prior ruler of times past weren't exactly better than Robotnik (and yes, I am going to call Eggman that, thank you) and that they were corrupt tax eating despots who didn't care what happened to the people or the city. This especially probably includes how there is a lack of care for the civil infrastructure and how even probably there was practices of savagery like slavery and discrimination that kept their society afloat. Granted, the Speedway looks like a garden and there's even a cathedral, but that's probably just for looks. When Robotnik comes in, he probably played savior and introduced the people to his technological savvy to improve their lives.... of course, not without some strings attached. When this song plays, all that comes to mind are the the thoughts of the people asking "What about the future?" And that additional chorus just helps drive it home. Damn, thanks Bouncy.

Well, now that the PC version of Mania is out, finally got a chance to play Stardust Speedway Act 1 with this music in place of the regular music. I can say the stage and this music go together like peanut butter and chocolate

Thanks! Everybody has their own tastes. Personally, Tee's version is alright for me (I got used to it), but it sounds too slow for a fast paced stage. Tee's version fits an aquatic level more.

That's true. This remix needs quite a lot of updating, to be honest. There are no brass sections or trumpets, which are instruments that Tee Lopes uses quite often.

Hey dude, this remix is so much better than Tee Lopes's one! Any chance you could give me a link to a zip of all the samples used ? I especially like the drum samples, they're just like sonic mania! Also I'm making a mod for sonic mania, and part of it is going to change the stardust speedway one soundtrack to this one. If it's not too much, a wav file will do. KZbin compression ruins music somtimes. But anyways, thanks!
