Manero Supper What if Gigapolis Act 1 is the Game Gear Version Act 2 is the Master System Version And Act 3 is a mixture of both themes? That would be a neat idea. We'll have to wait and see.

It'd be amazing if both acts of Gigalopolis could incorperate a bit of both so fans of either are happy and feel "their version" got due respect. Using one for Act 1 and the other for Act 2 is the obvious choice but it'd be kinda weird for this one zone to have two totally different melodies for each act like that. Just my personal feelings but it's always been a pet peeve of mine when Sonic games have a mixture of zones with two totally different songs for each act and zones which remix one clear song for each act (Sonic 4 Ep II and Sonic Adventure being examples). So yeah, my ideal would be to come up with a consistent melody for both acts that incorporates elements of the main melody of both the GG and MS songs, but have one act be more GG-like, and one act be more MS-like in overall energy and... musicness. I'm... not a musician, lol, I can only imagine these things. Aqua Planet is at least a little easier I imagine since both versions use a similar backing track, and the MS/GG special stage themes (mistakenly referred to as "Special Stage 1" and "Special Stage 2" on most game rip soundtracks I've encountered) could easily be used for one aesthetic of special stage or the other (if the dev team aren't doing something new with those), since the two special stage environments are at least totally different, so totally different songs work better there than in an Act 1/Act 2 context. Whatever direction is taken, I'm sure it'll be great. The quality of the music in the demo absolutely blew me away MaxieDaMan, your work is truly stellar in both it's original touches and it's ability to replicate the Sonic Mania style.

I have been following your music for years DJ-Max-E from your earliest remixes with spring yard & aquatic ruin up to now. This is stellar work! This is what the game was meant to sound like beyond the game gear & master system sound chip capabilities. This is one of my favourite game gear titles & you doing this soundtrack is a huge blessing to this remake. Tee Lopes is someone who I am glad got hired by Sega to make music for Sonic Mania & you should be hired next. Takashi Iizuka of Sega please take notice of this brilliance & hire the fans to make the games that the fans love cuz Sonic Mania showed how great this can work!
