Apparently the Sonic in the song is known as Sonic.NES AKA this Sonic and his world just being some bootlegged Sonic ROM for the NES, it was with this illegal bootleg/pirate that the world was just outright unstable The whole "John Walter" thing was just taken out of the song entirely when they moved past V5 of Top Loader
