I’ve always associated the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise with Nintendo, I’m almost surprised at this point that Nintendo or SEGA haven’t come to an agreement to do more crossovers with Sonic and the other Nintendo IPS other than the Olympics and Smash Bros.... Like a Mario and Sonic 3D platforming game.... Please.

The first game I can actually remember is Super Mario World while visiting one of my cousins. I remember knowing who Mario was beforehand and I was terrible at it (as my hands don't like snes (or GBAs) controllers TT_TT, they hurt holding). I still really wanted a snes though but didn't know how to ask as I was 4 or something. My mother got me and bigbro a bunch of educational games I don't remember which was the first, I think I saw clip of it in a LGR video but the name wasn't mentioned... My first console was a clear GBC with Pokémon Yellow but I unfortunately lost the game. For some reason I'm more nostalgic towards Silver, remembering almost all of the areas despite not understanding English at the time.

The first game I ever played was Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. I was 6, and I guess my parents decided it was time to let me have at it with their Dreamcast. I remember having to get my mom help me out to get past the loop-de-loop in the beginning of Emerald Coast. I thought you had to move the stick to match the loop, and it was mind blowing to figure out I just needed to hold it up

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my first Sonic game (Chemical Plant Zone is still my personal favorite Sonic level), and I thought it was unreal when Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2 were ported to the Nintendo GameCube. I was there (though I didn't own a game system at the time) and I remember the 16-bit console war.

I never knew about Sega consoles until 2000. Although looking back, I did see a Sega genesis in 1995 at someones house once. But I thought it was some kind of bootleg thing. Growing up, I thought all that was around was Nintendo. I also thought Sonic was only a cartoon character all those years.

While I am a Nintendo person now, I also grew up on Sega and Sonic. The first video game I ever owned was Sonic 1 in 1993, and Sonic 2 is the greatest Christmas gift I've ever received to this day.

Sonic 2 was the first video game I remember playing, and it's still one of my all time favorites. Was also one of the first games I ever beat, was shocked that Matropolis Zone wasn't the finale. Pac-Man is also one I played very early on but Sonic is the one I remember first

The first game i played was on the Wii U. I got a Wii U in 2014 when i was 8 years old 'cause I watched a lot of gaming KZbinvideos; Lego City Undercover and Disney Infinity in perticular (I suggest you go and watch the Disney Infinity videos of The8bittheater). I got a Wii U limited edition (came with Lego City Undercover) together with the starter set of Disney Infinity 1.0.. Since then I have been collecting Disney Infinity very seriously, going as far as buying 2 of each Disney Infinity character (one to open and one to keep boxed). I have been waiting and hoping for the last 4 years that Disney Infinity might return, but seen as the "toys-to-life market" is losing money, I don't think it will. I haven't seen or met that many people that collect Disney Infinity as seriously as I do, but I will keep collecting it as long as it keeps me smiling while gaming.

@@NintendoCollecting When it comes to collecting records, I would reccomend a turntable that has a built-in preamp, but not speakers, as a start. There are many budget all-in-one record players out there that have the pre-amp, amplifier, and speakers built-in. The reason I would try to avoid something like that is because with all of that stuff being crammed into one box, the audio can sound really distorted, especially towards the inner grooves. So just make sure that you have your turntable separated from your speakers to get the best sound quality possible.

My gaming journey mainly started on the Playstation. Because I was a little kid and didn’t play many before I eventually lost it due to a lightning strike, I don’t remember much from it. I do remember playing Pacman World and Spider-Man though, those two games are wha really got me interested in third person action and platforming games. I eventually got a Playstation 2 and I played games like Battle for Bikini Bottom and Barnyard and Batman Begins and a ton of other titles that I still hold very dear to my heart.

Sonic lost world is underrated. It’s a pretty good game with good ideas. It’s not a traditional sonic game. Me personally, I didn’t really like sonic colors. The level design was too platform heavy. Side note, If you haven’t played sonic generations, I highly recommend it as well.

Sonic Lost World is severely underrated and deserves a Switch port. The only reason it got so much backlash was because it wasn't a boost formula game, which for me, is a tired formula for the Sonic franchise already and Lost World was quite the refresher that took Sonic back to his platforming roots by taking things back to an Adventure type pace. It's incredibly polished for a Sonic game too, which is quite surprising sadly.

To answer your question about Lost World: The game is pretty good imo, but a lot of Sonic fans don't like it. Main complaints that they have are the story, presentation, and controls. Story because its bland and has some loose ends and jumps between tones, and the writing is bad. I think its just fine, but you can just skip the cutscenes anyway so you can ignore it. Presentation because its super simillar to Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros. Because this games world themes are just grassland, desert, etc. and even in the same order. The levels are simillar to Mario Galaxy because they are like planets, but instead of spheres its mostly cilinders. Controls because Sonic has a run button in this one, and he just controls a bit weird in general. I still enjoyed the game, and I do recommend it, but I will say that this is one of those games thats a bit better on a second playthrough.

The Sonic games I need to get are Sonic Advance 1-3 or 4, Sonic Dark Chronicles on DS, and Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, Gems collection and Shadow the Hedgehog.

I recently got into collecting those because of traveling in the summer and wanting games with me. I think the N64 definitely has the quirkiest carrying cases with a really really cool fanny pack for only a controller and game cartridge

Hello Lithium, Sonic Riders is a really good racing game to play. I have beaten the story mode and unlocked all the characters. You can also earn points in the game to go and purchase gear for the other characters to ride on. Overall, if you have the time, I highly recommend playing Sonic Riders at least once.

My first video game of all time is Super Mario Bros. 1 on the NES when I was a kid the time my brother had the NES. I like that game as a kid. My first Sonic game was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the GameCube back in 2003 and I absolutely like that game which is my favorite Sonic game of all time and still is today. Sonic Mega Collection is what made me a Sonic fan as it introduced me to Sonic's games on the Genesis with Sonic 3 and Knuckles being my 2nd favorite Sonic game. Good thing you don't have Sonic 06 in your Sonic collection. Let's just say it's a bad game. XD

I noticed that you do not have sonic heroes for the gamecube, if your looking for another sonic game to get then I would recommend that one. Its not the best but its still good and the soundtrack of that game is worth the purchase alone if you ask me.

I'm struggling to recall the first video game I had ever played. It may have been Super Mario Bros. or Mrs. Pacman. The first video game I ever owned and played was Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. I remember my mom and I took a trip to Target shortly after the Gameboy was released in North America. She was just as interested in owning it as I was, so she bought Super Mario Land with the Gameboy and of course, playing Mario Land took priority over playing Tetris. I was strictly a Nintendo kid, defending it as passionately as the Angry Video Game Nerd from all the Sega fanboys.
