This MIGHT be the best sonic.exe rewrite, this sonic.exe version really feels more like a mystery and enigma rather than the typical cyber killer, it rlly makes you wonder about its origins and how it got access to the internet,the voice acting was rlly good too, you really nailed it with this rewrite dude

this is definitely my favorite sonic.exe rewrite, I like how it’s not a blood fest but instead it’s more of a mystery and enigma, instead of just being a game that kills you. Also I love the design of sonic.exe in this, I like how he’s more of a glitched out sonic with messed up textures instead of being sonic with just red eyes and bleeding black eyes. Keep up the good work!

this is genuinely phenomenal. Instead of trying to traumatize you by hyper-killing fictional characters and making scary plushies (or whatever), this version of X just outright psychologically destroys you. He was not messing around at all, the moment Tom stopped playing along, the gloves came right off. (spoiler) "God is not in charge anymore. I am." God damn. That line is cold as ice. That's gonna stick with me for a LONG while.

So my interpretation is that, this version of sonic.exe is not only a virus that infects the game but also the human mind, and at the end, he erased the memories of Tom and believed he himself is no longer real and possibly possessd him and the guy who have him the game? Overall this is a perfect sonic.exe rewrite. No eldritch horrors, no hyperrealism, no exe oc! This has to be my favorite interpretation of the creepypasta.

Ngl, this new version is really good Because he didn’t just deliver himself and play with his food He took his time with his victim, which just shows how much more patient he is with his victims, keeping them guessing and playing around but still knowing when it’s time to stop playing, and controlling his victims, aswell as he didn’t just say “I am god” but in a way said it in a much more effective way Just shows just how much control he has and I like the designs of his forms

ok im only at Entry #3 so far but honestly im genuinely intrigued at this retake of the story, right off the bat the way the tone for this was set just sets it apart from other version of the demon rodent, instead of there being any signs of the game being haunted or possessed by anything, it's just a sort of creepy and mysterious 4chan post that took the internet by storm and the OP of the creepypasta rather than being someone who accidentally found this game in his mailbox one day, is instead this myth hunter who was actively searching for the mystery for 3 whole years with a friend of his, i also would like to point the way the creepypasta was segmented into entries/parts instead of being one long page unlike it's source material. one more thing i like to mention is probably the little over arching mission of the OP's friends trying to salvage a link to help further the search for other people to decrypt the game which is neat and also adds to the whole idea of this being an ongoing mystery in my opinion. :] also wanted to point how it's pretty fitting that *"hill."* is just called hill because the game is unfinished so it actually makes sense. edit - holy fu

I love this, while I still prefer what sonic.exe has become (thanks to the efforts of Joedoughboi) this story is just SO much better, I love how X is portrayed here, and on top of that? the drowning music did NOT need to go that hard bro. This genuinely is the best version of the story I've seen so far, I 100% prefer this one than the original! Great job! Funny idea but, what if you were able to make a sonic creepypasta game to go along with this? I mean to go along with the end saying "Here's the link, go wild", sort of how there are games now for pendrive and a few other stories If you end up going that route, it'd be really cool to see that, but if not it's still perfect as is!
