I'm a little late to this, but I think that Rewrite isn't just an ordinary shapeshifter. During the part where Rewrite is doing the "as above, so below" pose, (12:24) he has 3 red rings on him. One on each of his arms and one on his left leg. I think that those rings are actually Xenophane, Majin and Lord X's souls. And side note, during the third part of the third song where he's pixelated, his voice switches between Majin, Xenophane and Lord X's voices. Which would mean that Rewrite is more of a god than most of the EXEs. Edit: it has just been clarified to me that this is confirmed by the creator to be false. Apologies.

Considering that rewrite did actually break boyfriend's barrier it means that he's one of the strongest EXE's he's ever faced, the thing is, the reason Sonic.exe or lord x or any of the others don't immediately kill boyfriend is because he has this rule where you can't kill him unless you defeat him in a rap battle, that means that rewrite might be one of the most powerful EXE's and a digital God.
