In my opinion, if this game actually follows the story of the original CreepyPasta, the player is the boy who sent the disc to the protagonist of the story (he makes me think of it with the "Hello old friend") while when he talks about another person he talks of the protagonist of CreepyPasta (since he says "since I met him"). So the story is: The one who started that "slaughterhouse", after learning of the death from the friend who failed to destroy the game, wants to "get revenge" by trying to fight him again. It also makes sense that the game is different, because after killing one, he gained "more power" and the change itself is an ideal concept for these stories, like the Jumanji sequel.
