It sounds good enough on its own, but it's obnoxiously cliche and unfitting in the context of the game. The emotion put into this song feels so forced and undeserved considering that the rest of the game's OST was all non-stop EDM, and there was no real emotional or dramatic parts in the game that gives this song its right to have a depressing and tear jerking vibe to it. So when the ending credits have this super sad and emotional song, it feels very weird.

I actually liked Sonic Forces. There. I said it. Sonic Forces is by no means a masterpiece, but I feel like some of the game's issues are over-exaggerated. Case-in-point, the difficulty. Yes, it is easy, even on Hard Mode. But, I still had difficulty on some stages, including the final Infinite fight, and the final boss. (btw why couldn't we have had some epic Super Sonic fight where Infinite transformed instead of what we got?) I spent 22 minutes on the final boss. I've played, and beaten, plenty of hard games, and they have nothing on Forces, but forces still provided a decent challenge during the late game. Also, while I did have some issues with the controls, I only had a couple deaths that I could blame on the controls rather than myself. Most of the deaths were just me being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I had to give the game a star rating, it would get a decent 6.5 out of 10. Forces is a decent game that really needs less hate.

I think that deep down, most Sonic fans know this game isn't truly terrible, but the fact that there wasn't a new 3D Sonic for half a decade let Sonic fans ruminate over it for far too long, disappointment turned to rage, and this game slowly but surely became the antichrist in their eyes when really, the worst you could really say is that it's boring.

Humanity has shown time and time again that they can take on the greatest threats and succeed. We have the power to snuff out Covid. The Sonic fangame community is stronger than ever. We can quite literally do anything if we could only agree on it. Our days on Earth are numbered, perhaps even more so due to this global chaos. So get out there, do some good, push on even when you are at your lowest, do whatever you can, while you can. I’ll never give up hope for Sonic, because I just know that better times lie ahead.
