Saw the question several times now: You can't unlock Mephiles yet! Even if you have 500 Challenger Tokens, you need to wait until the first phase of this event is over. This is the case on October 14th 2022. Until then, try to collect as many Tokens as possible! Happy Speed Battling, everyone!

From Level 1 to Level 16, you need 21.140 Challenger cards. Keep in mind that you need 500 to unlock Mephiles. So you need 21.640 cards in total :)

I would argue but consider the amount of characters there are. That are broken as well I just honestly just accept and deal with them even though they are so annoying and now we have a rusty rose who is only an npc for now and I already can tell she is going to be a pain to deal with but I learned to just accept it.

Challenger Chests are only available when Challenger Mode is active. The news tab in-game informs you once this event goes live :)

1) You need to have at least one free chest slot. 2) Place 1st or 2nd in a race against Mephiles. You'll obtain a Challenger Chest for doing so.
