While looking through my old achieve of Sonic Forces clips to make Old vs New Part 4, I happen to realize that some of the older tracks that has been in the game since launch looked drastically different compared to how they are now. I always thought some of these segments were from tracks that were removed, but little did I know, these tracks are still in the game. So let's compare how different the OG Green Hill, City & Sky Sanctuary track were from then to now. Sonic Forces Mobile Tracks Changes Classic Movie sonic forces speed battle

In case you didn't know, the reason why some of the tracks are snowy and some aren't is because they were recorded during the Holiday season, where most of the tracks have a winter theme to them.

I think the reasons people prefer the old tracks is because of how Sega hardlight used the lighting in these levels. Since they now look a lot more like the game, but then again that could just be me.

I’ve been playing pretty much since launch and it’s quite weird seeing how drastically this game has changed! The changes have slipped by me as a player, but when I see them side by side, you can definitely see what was changed. Also... anyone remember that weird clicking sound effect power sneakers would have when you use it? I am definitely glad they removed that! And quick note... seeing those red and green speed panels definitely brings me back! I for sure hate those, they kinda made you more vulnerable to attacks by limiting your dodging room.

Very nice video! I joined in 2020 so most of these old tracks are u familiar to me, but what surpised me the most is how significantly longer some of these tracks were. Makes me wonder if some of them were shortened to balance things out or make room for other things in game over time, than just refinements.

Anothing to note is how more complicated the layout, design and placement of obstacles were then than they are now. Though, the recent Emerald City tracks do have quite a bit of obstacles all over some of them.

Well for my opinion I think the harder and harder tracks were suppose to stay so the game would be more challanging but I like how they that warning thing when a fireball or whatever is behind you this is really helpful, And something they shouldn't have changed it and it is that Classic sonic's jump was like sonic and shadow's jump and the trail of classic sonic's spin dash was suppose to stay it was really damn cool, I also liked the way that they changed shadow's aura from dark red to orange, orange looks better and cooler and for the jump I liked the way that they made his jump like sonic's jump so I say the game with maps and character auras, jumps and whatever changes some of them are good and some of them are bad so no difference lol oh yeah almost forgot I liked they way that silver, rouge and espio reality attacks changed to an attacks called Confusion attacks cuz those characters aren't using the phantom ruby lol (they are cooler than the Confusion boosts if we imagined as our character is a copy not real by the phantom ruby so it would be cool)
