I was happy and silly at first to see that they put in a pinball stage, but then it turned into frustration. the score required is very high and the worst part is that even after you get the score you need to hit the ball in a specific place to proceed (twice in a row I got the score and had to go back to the beginning because I didn't hit the spot and the game does not give extra balls. ) I'm literally days away from getting past this part and losing my heart to continue.

Update: Beat the game. For those struggling, focus as much as you can on raising the score multiplier. Once you past 256x or so, you can beat the high score pretty quickly! Best of luck

Like I said before, the best you can do is just focus on raising the and maintaining the multiplier. That’s literally the only helpful advice that can be offered (Unless Sega patches the pinball in future uodates) Eventually you’ll get it. I was ripping my hair out before about it, but eventually it just happened.

Seriously as much as I love sonic frontiers, I HATE this mini game so so much. In my opinion it’s the worst part of the game. The fact that the ball can fall behind the bumpers is already bad enough(it was the only reason I keep losing) but there’s also the horrendous high score(seriously guys 5 FUCKING MILLION, ARE YOU HIGH!?!?), the red coins are helpful but the fact that they show up at random and how easy and often the ball falls behind the bumper( and thus deleting your score multiplier makes me question if it’s worth getting. And then I look at the score and sigh as I try to get the next red ring

Whose idea was to bring back pinball, a feature that has been in multiple Sonic games in the past, and do it worse? At least in previous pinball stuff Sonic himself was the ball so you could move him around and have a degree of control. But here outside of the flippers you’re at the mercy of the ball physics and the score requirement is needlessly high. I wish this game didn’t feel the need to pad itself with all these mini games. They’re so consistently irritating and this is one of the worst. The core gameplay was good, it didn’t need filler. But I digress. Forgive the rant. Congrats for clearing it in such a short time.

And yet someone who apparently compares their egotistical ass to Einstein himself, thought it would be fun to have a pinball game, which btw is 100% RNG based, make it 5 million points to beat, only 3 balls and your done, have 2 holes you can't do anything about if the ball goes down one of them, the red rings that you need to get the multipliers also are completely random where they pop up and if you lose a ball the multiplier resets; all of this JUST. TO. PROGRESS. THE. MAIN. GAME. Way to go Sega, you're still proving that even at your best, you still manage to take a massive step backward in game development decisions.

I’m surprised by how much people hated this, when I had the patience to navigate it enough to slowly accumulate the necessary points needed to complete it. Personally, I feel that the very first island puzzle in Kronos Island was the worst of them all. I still loathe the fact that I was confused even by the end on how I was supposed to navigate those towers correctly, even after looking up guides online.

Nah I hard disagree, the light pizzy took some time on Kronos island but I appreciated the challenge that I was in full control of. If they wanted us to get 5 million points with no way to increase the life count it shouldn't have those gutters. Like it can be no fault of your own and that's it's 10 minutes wasted. There's no ski here it's the first REALLY bad thing about this game. It made me laugh until I saw the score requirements

Whereas in the Light Puzzle, the whole time I was racking my brain unsure if I moved the light pilars correctly when moving one causes the other to move, and I couldn’t figure out how to connect them all without absolute dumb luck.

I managed to get the score I needed twice pretty easily, but then I don't know what to do. The first time I let my final ball fall through and nothing happened. The next time I hit the button to stop after I got enough points and nothing happened. This pinball game isn't hard, but I wish I knew what to do once my score gets high enough.

got it on the second try when rng favored me when the ball pretty much stayed juggled on the bumpers at the top. the first time its like the ball was on a mission to aim for the side gutters to lose a ball. the five million point requirement is ridiculous as even with good rng and high multiplier it still drags on too long and becomes really boring. i don't even want to know what happens if you lose all your balls trying to get it into the goal at the end.

Garbage mini game. Get the high multipliers, points increase while and the requirement decreases with the bumpers. Got it, but WHY can the ball fall into the gutter AT RANDOM, taking away SAID MULTIPLIER?? Play as well as you want, but you can’t prevent that from happening, IF/WHEN it does occur. Unfair, and complete unnecessary to continue back to regular Sonic gameplay. Gutters shouldn’t be there, or we should have a board-shake mechanic to fight against it falling in. Completely unfair game otherwise!
