Either way, Generations is just a much better game than Forces. Unleashed is still among my favorites, however, for a couple of reasons - mainly because I found the story in that one a lot more emotionally-gripping.

@SpectacularNub Aye. How Tails, Infinite, and even Sonic were handled is honestly one of my biggest gripes in the game. Black Knight does a better job of portraying these characters, and it's another one of my favorites - even for its flaws as a game - because of it.

He did not want to do the Perfect Chaos fight because in Sonic Adventure 1, Sonic starts off as -a Super Saiyan- Super Sonic, and you cannot do the same in Sonic Generations. Dude... I understand your logic, but... You literally let the entire Classic era played by a Homing attacking Classic Sonic. Not only does that mean a huge miss opportunity to use the insta-shield (or any elemental shield for the matter) in Sky Sanctuary, but that very idea is very inaccurate to the classics. You know, I was thinking, since the 3DS version has two less levels than the HD version, here's what they could have done with that version instead to kind of flesh it out: Instead of having a classic era with 3 stages and then a DC era and modern era with two stages each, and considering the 3DS version is a handheld game, they could have had a GameGear era with 3 stages from different GG games, and then a Saturn era in place of the DC era with re-imagined levels from games like Sonic Jam/Sonic World, Sonic R, Sonic 3D Blast, etc., and then either a modern era, or even an Advance/Rush era with levels from Advance 1, 2, and then Rush or Rush Adventure. I feel like this could have really helped to differentiate the games, and really celebrate Sonic's history to an even fuller extent.

It would of made the 3ds version so much better I was a bit disappointed how there was no stages from the sonic advance series and only like 1 from the sonic rush games. I would of loved to have seen stages like sky babylon and huge crisis. I did hear though that the 3ds version only got 6 months to be developed so perhaps that explains why most of the stages feel empty.

Thanks for using the Ryan Drummond voice clips to accompany the equally awesome Dreamcast models. If Generations was already like this, it would be a masterpiece and Sega would have be forgiven for the Shadow the Hedgehog game and Sonic '06. (Sadly, Dreamcast Sonic is nowhere to be found in the canon story or levels.) Drummond truly is the real and only Sonic. :)

SuperSaiyanSonic in the hedge mod manager which supports generations there is a code called can always activate super sonic and lose no rings at super sonic. With this you can get super sonic in boss or rival battles with 00 rings and lose no rings with the second code!

Heroes is part of the Dreamcast Era since the Adventure games and Heroes was made during the 6th generation of consoles. Dreamcast started that generation of consoles so that is why Heroes is part of it and why it's called Dreamcast Era. Any Sonic that was made during the 6th generation is automatically a Dreamcast Era game.

The music where if you let it go on long enough on Sonic's battle with Shadow, I love the part where it gets sad and somber then just as the music gets haunting it goes back to blood pumping. I miss the Dreamcast era gameplay so much. They had a perfectly fine formula but ruined it with boring side characters, terrible gimmicks, and gamebreaking bugs. Closest thing to a pure Sonic experience was Heroes, and it was awesome.

I think it would be better if you removed the Homing Attack's Reticle, and used the Longer Blue Trail. If you're using HedgemodManager, they're both codes + compatible with other mods. If you're using SonicGMI, I honestly don't know. One more thing that would make this even better was if you swapped Classic and Modern Sonic's physics, and used the "Classic Sonic Always Has Homing Attack", "Disable Classic Run Particles" and "3D Spindash Doesn't Crash" codes for a spindash and more SA feel. (Btw, the "Disable Classic Run Particles" code is because when swapping their physics, the Classic Sonic run effects appear on Modern Sonic as well.) Either way, amazing video!

I guess you're taking about the 3D era of Sonic, which includes all the titles released for PS2, Xbox and GameCube before Sonic 06. Anyway people might call each Sonic a different way. For me, modern Sonic is from the first Adventure, but I was guessing the Dreamcast era meant the two Adventure titles and Shuffle, tho nobody remembers the last one. Thanks for the point tho

The level designers had no idea what they were doing, the programmers had no idea what they were doing, heck the goddamn director had no idea what he was doing("Dashing like a maniac" is *not* the way to a good game). Instead of picking the gameplay engine and staff behind generations, the got the ones behind Lost World, hence why Forces is so clunky and Lost World-ish. They had _a lot_ of great ideas that went absolutely nowhere, Infinite and Null Space to name a few. Overall, right now I just hope that they're looking at what they've done wrong, learning from it, and taking their time with the next one.

No, but for some reason Heroes is considered apart of the Dreamcast era. Idk why though since that game only came out on the GCN, PS2, and Xbox and never the DC, but I'm guessing Ryan Drummond's version of Sonic to people is the Dreamcast one regardless if he also appeared as Sonic on other consoles as well. I still don't even see what the difference is between Dreamcast Sonic and Modern Sonic to tell you the truth? I consider them to be the same honestly, but that's just me! Although it would be cool if we got a DC port of Sonic Heroes as well as a few other 6th generation Sonic The Hedgehog games that came out after the dreamcast died. Imagine playing Heroes, Shadow, Mega + Gems Collection, and Riders on the DC? That'll be cool. Maybe if SEGA decides to make a DC mini someday they'll port those games on there. I sure hope so!

So Heroes can't be part of the Dreamcast era? You're missing one HUGE factor...Ryan and the original adventure 2 cast played the characters except for Tails. the Chaotix and Omega had their first voice actors.

@@theacademictaskmaster6481 Sonic Heroes came out in 2003 and was never on the Dreamcast. Voice cast is completely irrelevant. It was the first next-gen Sonic game of the new millenium and the first Sonic game for many modern fans. It is asbolutely not a part of the DC era.
