Ok I love both Sonic's equally but that Classic rooftop run was FANTASTIC! not only was it long but it was hard too! Even the remix blew my mind. This...is...officially my favorite classic sonic stage!

That's a pretty good summary of Spagonia. Chaotic boosting, destructive speed, too many rings, going here and there to shoot robots with robots, clock tower... Good job, Sega!

am I the only one who feels like watching sonic run at break neck speeds is almost therapeutic? especially at 3:15 there's just something about that little hedgehog that I still amazes me as 18 year old. Even as a kid I always loved sonic :3 still do it's just sonic AND shadow now

i just love the idea of that when your playing modern sonic even though you dont now it but classic sonic is completing his quest and when classic sonic is playing modern sonic is doing the same i mean it just can be a coincident that they both can play at the same stage

@shadowfan1997 The "Unleashed" from Sonic Unleashed was put there because Sonic turned into a Were-hog in the game, "unleashing" his inner beast. So if we were to call Sonic Colors "Sonic Unleashed 2" and Sonic Generations "Sonic Unleashed 3," that would be totally irrelevant.

@cookiekidsonic There's a cutscene in generations where Sonic mentions his adventures from the secret rings. And this is a canon game storyline wise. So i do think the storybook games happened, but they are spin off games and thats why they were excluded from this game.

Ok so the other day I decided to play some Sonic Unleashed just to compare Sonic's gameplay to Generations and I realized that SEGA should have chosen Chu-Nan over Rooftop Run. I love me some rooftop run but Chu-Nan is a fucking fantastic level. And it had much more potential to IMO, classic could have had some underwater sections and they could have made you explore the Great Wall and China's country side and those mountains.

Spagonia improved alot since unleashed. It has both creative and interactive 3d platforming. And the music is great. As for classic gameplay its Awesome as or even more than genesis I hope sonic 4 ep 2 is as good.

@VideoGameWalk The original and the Generations remake are more different then alike, but if you've played the Unleashed version you'll certainly recognise some parts. In fact, the mistake at 2:43 (where Sonic drifts into the wall) is most likely because in Unleashed you had to hold the control stick completely to the left on this curve, where in Generations you don't. My point is they're similar enough that people will take the same approach on some parts.

@Kaiskov09 Wrong. It's Tails. Well, Eggman is the most famous enemy in Sonic games and Sonic is the fastest, but a bit arrogant. But Tails is so cute! And he can fly and build all sorts of machines! :-D After him there is Sonic and Shadow.

It's sad this is the second last level in generations. It's fun as hell with little places to fail. I'm horrible at these games and I got S on it first try. This level is one of the best in my opinion. Worst of all you have to go through crisis city for it.

@KerllerAnaya it's because they're the story book series....so technically it kinda never happened to Sonic because they're stories he makes up. SatBK story was an excuse to Amy b/c he was late for their *date. SatSR was like a dream he had....so that's why SEGA didn't put stages of those games in SG. (that's what I think) also SEGA announced that the Sonic story book series might be a Trilogy. so there's a another Sonic game based on the story book series that's gonna come out. :]
