@@nintendogp2017 in that case, why did they make the transition between acts seamless? Why did they make remixes of the songs for the 2nd acts? Why did they add unused animations, like Eggman getting covered in Mega Mack? OK, these seem like minor things, but then there's this: why did they add a brand new easter egg that hints at the construction of Robo Sonic in Chemical Plant? I can see why they wouldn't add Zone transitions, but given what they already did, I don't see anything against them making them. Accuracy to the original doesn't seem like a limitation against that.

That's cause Sonic 2 HD is the only one made by actual professional artists. Sonic 3 HD was made by some kids who had never made anything before and some had never done art before. Source: It's me, I was one of the guys who made Sonic 3 HD (I was like 13-14 at the time). And years later I helped out with Sonic 2 HD, CPZ was mostly my work.

This is true. Sonic the hedgehog 3 starts in angel island. If you have Sonic 3 & Knuckles, after launch base zone (the last level of Sonic 3) you’ll transition to Sonic & Knuckles in Mushroom hill.

It looks great but when you said sonic 3 you are showing the first stage of Sonic and Knuckles mushroom hill zone not the first level from sonic 3. I know Sonic and Knuckles is part 2 of Sonic 3 because Sonic Team didn't have enough time to put all those stages together before there dead line to have the McDonald's toys to promote the game.
