It's interesting how all the areas have fully functional voice acting when you are clearly not intended to be able to cross that gap. Perhaps there was a version of the game where Team Rose did full levels rather than just sections of them.

Kinda shows how much padding there is in the level design. The fact that a single developer ended up having to do the vast majority of stages sounds painful.

Alternative goal rings!? I didn't even realise that was a thing. From a glance at your channel, it seems Team Rose has one for just about every stage which is real fascinating. 0:13 - I like how present the normal Team Rose Goal Ring first before going on to venture forth and find the alternative one. 1:58 - I'm guessing those doors aren't normally supposed to open like that. It's been a long time since I last played Sonic Heroes. 3:49 - This definitely feels like the point where you're not supposed to be here with Team Rose. Interesting that the characters seem to all have befitting lines of dialogue despite this being an area you're not supposed to be in with these characters. 6:24 - I'm impressed that you managed to get Cream's flight to last that long. Given this alternative ring seems to be a fair bit longer than your other videos, I'm surprised to see you have a speed-up moment. 9:15 - It really has been a long time; I don't recall seeing this place in any of the character's playthroughs. Wonderfully pretty though and a fantastic fascinating video here!

"I'm guessing those doors aren't normally supposed to open like that." In Team Dark's and Team Chaotix' levels, you need to light those up to proceed. For Team Sonic and Team Rose, they removed the torch models, since you're meant to use a different path, but they didn't remove the torch lighting mechanic that opens the doors. Probably figured since you can't see it, no player would think to try anything. "This definitely feels like the point where you're not supposed to be here with Team Rose." You'll find that Team Rose has Light Speed Dash and Triangle Jump sections in all their cut sections, complete with dialogue accompanying it all. Gives me the impression that potentially Amy was supposed to have the same moves as Sonic and Shadow. But that's just a theory. "I'm surprised to see you have a speed-up moment." Was necessary. Would've been a very boring segment to watch for nearly ten minutes lol "It really has been a long time; I don't recall seeing this place in any of the character's playthroughs." It's there for Teams Sonic and Dark. Does create a continuity error though. Since the following boss fight takes place at night. Glad you enjoyed it. Always appreciate engaging comments such as this one. ✌

3:50 Nice use of Amy's extended hammer-propeller ability. I'm honestly surprised and disappointed how nowhere within the main game was that ability to extend the duration of Amy's float using her tornado-attack actually required for anything. I mean, I get that Team Rose's story is supposed the game's "Easy Mode" and so Sega didn't want to put any particularly hard challenges within their missions, but it's absurd how the team that has some of the most unique and powerful abilities never gets the chance to properly utilize most of them. In my opinion, Team Rose should have at least been given some stages in the game's secret "Super-Hard Mode" rather than Team Sonic being the only ones. Then we could have finally seen that hammer's float/tornado combo put to good use officially and not just in a glitched area like this.

There actually is one spot, if I recall. In Team Rose's Ocean Palace. It's a spot you usually get across by using the Triangle Jump. For Team Rose, they place a dash pad, which if you use it and immediately jump, you can use the hammer hover ability to get across the gap.

I don't think the game even tells players that Amy can chain her aerial actions into each other for a total of 3 per jump, so most people probably end up assuming that they can only either use tornado or propeller and that's it.

I wish Team Rose and Team Chaotix have Light Dash. Maybe that’s why Team Rose and Team Chaotix can’t access the route meant for Team Sonic and Team Dark.

Can use a Homing Attack too, assuming your Speed character is at level 3.

Yeah, but you need level 3 I think, you can homing attack it too, but going for A ranks... to risky I don't try to use it, rely on flying or power to knock it off and knock it out... that or obviously team blast when I know they're coming lol, save it up for those bad boys.

You've had a few close shaves, but you made it in the end, you must've been in the Team Chaotix part of the level since I've seen some of those flowers that only Charmy can activate, I think this is also the only level that I've seen so far where you didn't get an A Rank.

The paths for Team Sonic/Team Dark definitely intertwine with Team Chaotix's, so we definitely explored both. The little outcove you see at 2:31 is actually a different path I could've taken by activating the switch at 2:02. It's the Team Dark path. I didn't go there since leaving requires the Light Speed Dash. Yeah lol No way could I have secured enough points with the pitiful time bonus I got.

Amazing work! Was gonna try it but after that homing attack part, nah. That ending had me nervous. I always seem to encounter a glitch every so often where the homing attack wont work on the pumpkin ghosts and I die. Cant imagine if that happened to you after all that work. And then when you ran on the bridge as Big or Amy it looked so close to you falling off! Im always a Fly character whenever I can be at that point because its easy to fall off; and then again at the end of the Power section. Just wouldve used Team Blast and got out of there haha.

If I could give any advice, it's to not rush with your Homing Attacks. Make very delibarate bounces, and wait until the characters are well above their targets before going.

So let me get this straight, if you continuously fling a character while in flight formation it moves you forward over time?

No. It may be hard to see, but what's happening is I'm moving the characters ever so slightly forward with the analogue stick while thunder shooting. When you use the thunder shoot, the gauge momentarily stop depleting, allowing you to gain a bit more distance. It's a fairly obnoxious technique, since you have to be fairly precise, be very focused and it takes a while to make progress. This video was my fourth or fifth attempt at this. 💀

Does thundershoot really extend your flight or is there something I'm missing

What Thundershoot does is it very momentarily freezes the flight gauge. So if you move slowly, you can get extra distance out of your flight if you move and Thundershoot at the same time.

@@gavinbunting7354 Perhaps. There are remnants in Rose's cut sections that suggest Amy was gonna possibly have the Light Speed Dash for ring trails. By hacking you can also re-enable her Sonic/Shadow style tornado attack. So maybe she did have the Triangle Jump at some point.

Fun fact, you can just skip that with a running start and careful use of the flight character's flight anyways.
