@@PKInTheUniverse Indeed! Bear in mind too that I'm running this by composite and through a splitter in order to record. If you have the means to run the Saturn on S-video or RGB it is incredibly gorgeous. I also regret not giving the system more of a chance in the 90s. I played it in stores and liked it but was an idiot kid who believed the press that had already written the platform off as dead by 1997. I didn't realize all that it had to offer. :(

@@muertovag4145 Yes, Sonic Team added the spin dash, adjustable difficulties, and some other tweaks and refinements. :)

@@muertovag4145 Oh no, the Saturn update got the quality of life improvements first, though due to time constraints Sonic Team didn't get to implement every last optimization they'd intended. I don't much about the GBA version's development but I assume it might have been a half baked attempt at porting the Saturn's Sonic 1 software instead of the Mega Drive's.

@@muertovag4145 I don't know the full situation of what happened in 1997, but the team had just come off of NiGHTs and was also working on Burning Rangers, so Sonic probably didn't get full priority.
