Yeah, Mecha Sonic (Sonic 2) or Metal Sonic (Sonic CD) will be in the film hopefully! And since G.U.N is after Sonic, I think it’s basically confirmed that Eggman will use Mecha / Metal Sonic to frame Sonic for many crimes. Whichever robot it is, they’ll probably be powered by the quill.

It’s not just for the actor but also for the animators. It also IS their designs that we will be seeing in the movie. You look at the old statue with the old Sonic design and the new statue and it’s obviously the new design. Sure it’s in statue form and the colors and textures aren’t the same. But Knuckles is.... pretty much gonna look like that. Freakin huge, wavy dreads, thicc limbs, and a perfect face. lol

I swear I'm gonna eat my shoe if Shadow shows up in this movie (aside from a potential tease at the credits or something). There is already enough with Tails and Knuckles showing up. This movie could easily build them up as a proper team with the classic Sonic vs. Knuckles rivalry with Robotnik still being the main antagonist. THEN the 3rd movie could easily introduce Shadow as the ultimate enemy for Sonic and friends when we have already established enough of the characters and world. It could happen similarly to SA2 or they could do something completely different while still staying true to who Shadow is. I hope and think Shadow will eventually show up if this series keeps moving forward. (because let's be real, the potential amount of money they could make by introducing Shadow would be insane)

I think Robotnik could be framing Sonic with Metal Sonic. He did have one of Sonic's quills all that time he was stuck in Mushroom Hill. That could be another reason why GUN might be after Sonic. Robotnik could even be using Metal Sonic to trick Knuckles or something. I just feel like Metal Sonic appearing in the movie is more likely than Shadow.

As long as the second movie is better than the first one and they continue to improve I'm fine with this but I'll forever be salty for not having a fully animated Sonic universe in the cinema instead. Also Knuckles in an official production without a cowboy hat feels wrong to me and I don't know why I can't get over it. Also also SA-2 Helicopter frightens me, Shadow is a *REALLY* big deal in how he affects the sonic lore and, man, you know I just like his character, I really don't want the same movie Knuckles and Tails is introduced in to be connected to a Shadow plot, the Shadow plot is an entire thing and deserves the full attention of a movie, I hope if they go through with putting Shadow in this universe they wait until the third movie.

Nah. I think they are going to try to get Sonic to work with them. Maybe he doesn't for some random reason or, on the other hand, they can't contact him for some reason or another, so they decide to search and lock him up to then explain the plan and stuff. While on transport in the helicopter, Sonic can do the iconic SA2 scene. Since this entire movie is going to happen, G.U.N. will want to have a force like Sonic on their side, so maybe in an after credits scene will we get something that hints to Shadow's existence...or something.

6:37 I think Eggman is being pulled up into the Egg Carrier. This would explain the military presence if a GIANT WARSHIP is attacking a small town. They are sending in all the troops to combat the threat of Robotnik. This movie is looking to be everything that I wanted out of the first movie. GUN is here, bald Eggman, Tails & Knuckles. I wonder if Tyson Hesse has a larger role in the production of this movie. It's pretty clear from the first movie that the filmmakers had no idea what Sonic was. Anyway, I hope the PLANdemic baloney is going away soon. Can't wait to see this movie, but I'll pass if they force me to wear a stupid mask at the theater. Nuts to that.

I agreed with Shadow, but, in relation to the Sonic movie universe, are two things very differents with the games. And, sincerely, since the Sonic franchise is a confused serie tho, I don't really care if they change some stuffs in film. Otherwise, I just hope that the director make good choices and know what he's doing. They did to hit hand in some moments with the first movie, still that it was very okay. I don't want see Sonic going in a childish way.

the first movie felt very normie to me in terms of references to the sonic games, it felt like the director was a normie who only played the classic sonic games from the 90's and sorta just stopped there, but seeing as how G.U.N and the sigma alpha 2 helicopter are now involved I'm really glad that there's more variety now in terms of sonic references that aren't just limited to the original 2D games
