Idk, I feel like the spin-off shows shouldn't be directly linked to the movies. That would mean you'd be required to watch them to understand the next movie, but in the 3rd movie, Knuckles only used his flame, like, once. I really hope that Amy gets the same time to shine as Shadow. Amy has never really gotten to lead a mainline sonic story like silver, shadow, or blaze. I think that the movie would be a great place to start figuring out how to elevate the character while keeping her personality in tact.

I want main villain Stone so bad, I feel like it's just the natural continuation from 3's ending, even if Eggman turns out to not be fully dead. Also I think that having Amy and villain Stone in the same movie would be cool as you could do some interesting parallels between Amy's love for Sonic (assuming she still has a crush on him in the movies, which I assume will be the case) that's expressed as positive actions, and Stone's love (and grief) for Robotnik that's expressed as negative actions.

She won't be paired with Sonic because of Sega's policy. If you haven't heard it, lemme tell you: Sega doesn't allow any romantic or love things to happen between characters and for any to become a couple. They allow it only if characters are INTRODUCED as a couple from the get go. So the only way I can see that is them saying that Amy is from the future and they're married with Sonic so it's kinda a fate thing or something akin to that.

I genuinely think movie 4 will be a mix of CD and Heroes. My main guess for the Metals is that they were created in the future from the leftover Chaos energy in space being harvested and mixed with sonics Quill data. Maybe GUN crafts them as an excuse to have their own Sonic as a weapon? Or Rockwell doesn't trust Sonic enough (as she didn't in this movie) and thinks a robot replica is a safe bet to replace him. I do think Neo Metal will be the one controlling them in the end.

If Jim Carrey returns, they might say that the Eclipse Cannon explosion launched Eggman into the future or past and that he learned how to time travel and built the Metal Sonics, but if he doesn't, they could also explain it by saying that Eggman built them between movies 2 and 3 and left them waiting for whenever he decided to reveal them and they either activated on their own or possibly Stone activated them to get revenge on Sonic. As for the Metal Sonics themselves, one is very clearly game-accurate blue and yellow while all of the other ones are painted silver like they're inferior models but still following that Paramount Eggman white-red-black theme, which leads me to believe that the blue Metal Sonic is the leader or maybe the "true" or completed Metal Sonic, which has me wanting to believe that at some point in movie 4, Metal Sonic will upgrade itself into Neo Metal Sonic to mimic the outfit changes that Eggman has had throughout the other films, which could also lend to the idea of Metal Sonic becoming Metal Overlord in the final battle.

@@GamesCagemy prediction for Sonic 4 Is Metal Sonic was an Eggman idea that he came up with during the events of Sonic 1 but never made it to fruition. G.U.N found the data but the idea was Stolen just like Knuckles Quills/Fur in the Knuckles Show and was built but went Ultron and went rogue. Over the course of Sonic 2 and the Knuckles show the Metal became Neo Metal and created his regular Metal copies to dispose of the Original Sonic. Amy with her Tarit cards forsees the death of a great hero and if she lived near Tails she went to his original home found the Tech that Tails was using to Spy on Sonic and believes Sonic is the great hero who will need to be saved so she goes to Earth and saves Sonic. And unlike Sonic CD where Amy gets a Crush on Sonic it’s in reverse where Sonic is crushing on Amy and she isn’t interested (yet).

Yup, you'll never convince me otherwise. Not to mention there are multiple times they show hologram technology that can be used as a disguise throughout the movie. I'm not going to go full conspiracy theorist and say she was supposed to be rouge in disguise, but I do think the original script called for a spy character trying to get the key instead of a random GUN soldier who just walks off the screen.

I’ve been telling my friends these are scenes I imagine will happen in Movie 4: (1) Amy is more like her Boom counterpart but she might not have a crush on Sonic right away. However, she gets kidnapped by Metal at some point, causing Sonic to have to save her. He runs with her in his arms (or dragging her behind him.) Suddenly, time slows and Careless Whisper plays as she looks at his face. Boom, now she likes him. (2) Tails: Wait, Sonic, do you have a crush on Amy? Knuckles: Sonic, why do you wish to crush the pink hedgehog? (Not that I want this to happen, but it feels like the humor they use in these movies.)

I honestly can see Tails & Stone having a shared arc in the second movie. Like if Sonic (and possible Knuckles) go with Amy and the adventure but leave Tails behind to protect Green Hills from the metal sonics, i could see Tails trying to act more like Sonic but each time he does so he fails/it goes wrong. Give Stone that same treatment where he tries to be the Egomaniac that Eggman once was but he never truly reaches the same level as him, then towards the end the two could share a moment together where they realize they need to stop trying to be exactly like their idols but instead be the people their idols always saw them as; themselves.

These movies DESPERATELY need to release worldwide on the same day imo. The Sonic movies are popular, but they still don't have the same pull Disney or Illumination do on average. If the movies release worldwide same day, they don't have to worry as much about losing potential box office numbers if the hype for the movies happens all at once around the world. It just hurts them in the long run, ESPECIALLY having lost out on getting IMAX priority (again).

For Amy, honestly like I know you hate boom. Lol don’t blame you. But I think the way the tv show handles the love dynamic between her and Sonic is probably the best way. Like it’s not obsessive like old Amy, and they do show that Sonic does like her back without it being her only character trait. As for a spin off show, honestly to keep the budget in check and just because I think it could be fun and there could be some cool lore building, A Shadow and Maria slice of life show. Cause I loved that little montage so much, and I want to see more of their life before GUN raided the base 😭

I think adding the concept of time stones into movie 4 can work really well and can lead into an 06 movie for movie 5 where it can fully embrace that concept of time travel and embrace it with the plot of 06. But I wouldn't want movie 4 to be a time travel movie because it would just make an 06 movie feel repetitive and them losing ideas. But building those concepts in movie 4 for it would be great.

Introducing the concept of time stones here but not using them plants those seeds and can make sense with movie 4 if they play cards right. Knuckles being the one to find Shadow alive and then the two go looking for the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds after the events of movie 3 and coming across Rouge also on the hunt for them would actually be a great story for the spin-off series Idris and Keanu want to do with the characters. It introduces Rouge to the two characters she spends the most time with, sets up Team Dark, and gives Shadow a way to learn more about Earth and furthers his determination to protect it, and could have Rouge tied to G.U.N. like she's not only after the emeralds but also keeping an eye on Knuckles and Shadow for Rockwell.

To me, Eggman's send off in Movie 3 helped his character come full circle and feels much more definitive, they left the possibility of survival in Movie 2 more open-ended, but unless rings were involved, I don't see Eggman coming back after this. To see Eggman go from someone who cares about no one except his machines to a hero who gave his life to save the world, that's a great note to leave Eggman off on.

In Sonic 5, Silver is manipulated by Eggman to kill Sonic. Silver's world was taken over by Metal Sonic but Silver doesn't know the difference between Organic Sonic and Metal Sonic so Eggman uses that to his advantage. Silver thinks that if he takes Sonic down, his world will be safe again but mid way through the movie he learns that Eggman is the real villian.

I'm curious if Sonic and the gang have many rings left at all? Because I recall there was a line where Tails said that they just had one last ring, which they used to save Sonic. My personal theory is that Metal Sonic was created by G.U.N. either as a contingency plan in case Sonic and co. go rouge, or as a way to have a more "reliable" secret weapon since Team Sonic is a bunch of free agents. Then something went wrong and in the future there's a bunch of Metal Sonics that are ruling the world or something like that. Then the Metals go back in time to try to destroy Sonic, Terminator style. This would mean that Amy is also from the future and followed them back to the past in order to save Sonic. I know time-travel can get hairy, but that's the theory I currently have.

I think a good route to take Metal is that he was built by Eggman but now that he’s gone, G.U.N. has taken his stuff into custody and now using Metal to get Sonic. The reason why there is an army of Metal’s is that they were mass produced by G.U.N. and the blue Metal is the original leading. I feel it would be cool if Metal got tired of G.U.N. and went off trying to find his true creator. I also believe the final battle of 4 will be Neo Metal rather than Overlord (I think they will save that for the future maybe once Jim returns).

A Shadow spin-off show or movie, with Shadow and Stone working together to stop Black Doom. Premise would be that Shadow came from the Black Comet and is a weapon built by Black Doom, now Doom is searching the universe for his long-lost ultimate weapon, and discovers Earth. Stone with the last off Eggman's technology working with Shadow using his chaos energy. Then for the next mainline movie, we find out that Metal Sonic was created by Eggman from another timeline and has been travelling through space and time looking for the timeline/universe in which the Master Emerald is present, Amy is aware of this and has been chasing Metal Sonic herself before she finally tracks him to Earth. Metal Sonic gets the Master Emerald and becomes Neo Metal Sonic or Metal Overlord, meaning that all the Sonic Heroes Teams have to work together as one big Avengers-style group to stop him, potentially meaning more Super Sonic and Super Shadow stuff. Then post-credits for Sonic 4, a younger Eggman who has been recast in Jim Carey's place is revealed and is a time traveller, hence his age, accompanied by Silver & Blaze, who are also time travelling from the future as this Eggman has created the technology to time travel. Premise could be that this Eggman has manipulated Silver & Blaze into thinking that he wants the Master Emerald / 7 Chaos Emeralds to fix their post-apocalyptic future. but in reality he wants it to make Perfect Chaos or awaken an ancient powerful being (Sonic 06 style) to rule the universe, not just Earth. Then we have the branching stories similar to Sonic 06 with the 3 hedgehogs, but the climax is essentially Silver & Blaze realising that they made a mistake in trusting Eggman and they all have to band together to beat this Thanos-level threat, giving us the Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver scene.

My two big predictions for the fourth movie is that obviously they’re still a lot more Metal Sonic clones and I feel like those clones are going to form together into Metal Overlord and become the “final boss” for the movie like the role the Death Egg Robot had in the second movie and I feel like maybe Sonic will be the one who develops a crush on Amy instead of Amy crushing hard on Sonic and the reason why I think that is because Movie Sonic is clearly obsessed with action movies and more pacifically action movie actors and Amy was looking like a badass during the post credit scene so Sonic could see Amy as his own female action hero who happens to also be a hedgehog just like him

Now My Theory could be Since Jim is Retiring, Maybe either like an Alternate Timeline Eggman Built Metal to Go The Movie Universe Timeline to Stop Sonic, Thus Having Amy Go Back as well to Help Sonic, This gives Paramount the opportunity to recast Eggman with a New Actor, But that's what I think.

Here's my theory: Metal sonic was built prior to the events of sonic 3. Eggman gave him sentience, but found he was rowdy and tried to shut him down/locked him up. Metal sonic then gains more sentience and makes copies. We then follow a terminator style story where metal sonics aim to rule the world. Adding on to the terminator area, we have silver come back as a time traveller to fight these and prevent metal sonics take over. I think Amy just appears for a similar reason to tails in sonic 2. Gang then save the day, setting the path for either a black doom/ Mephiles sequel

Hear me out, at the end in the post credit it was actually sonic "overshooting" by running into the future and seeing a robot apocalypse situation so he goes back to the present to find any and prevent it. That could explain why amy had the whole "ive been out here doing this for years" look and also why so many of them show up at once all of the sudden. It even makes sense why it would already reveal a confrontation because it would make him going to the future a cold open for the next movie. It's a dumb theory i came up with when I walked out of the theater but the more I made sense of it the more sense it made

I always thought Agent Stone was building Metal Sonic before the events of movie 3, because notice how active he is in fighting for Ivo Robotnik's cause and taking care of him during his depression. The doctor's given up, so I feel like Stone would have been spending his time between movie 2 and 3 creating Metal Sonic to not only impress Ivo, but also motivate him back into hunting down Sonic, though while the events of movie 3 were happening, Stone lost track of Metal Sonic and that's why he was able to amass an army of clones.

I think Amy will still have her bubbly and kind personality, but her fighting skills will be badass. I feel like she will be independent but not have a superiority complex and she'll know to accept/ask for help when she needs it. Also, I think when it comes to her and Sonic's romance, he will be the first to develop a crush on her rather than her developing a crush on him. But over time, she'll start to develop feelings for him. And for the plot, I think it will probably be a mix of Sonic CD and Heroes. That seems to be what that's leading to imo.

To be honest, this was written before the movie came out, so keep that in mind: Sonic 4: The Consequences of False Expectations. Sonic & Tails (& Knuckles but he's doing his own thing) are out of the nest & out in a bigger universe. That comes with more responsibilities for the two to deal with, & mistakes will be made. Where Sonic CD & it's time travel aspect come in is that time travel serves as an easy way to undo said mistakes, despite the consequences that could follow. If Sonic expects for his usual way of handling things to work out like did before, only to realize that things work differently then they do on Earth, then he has two options: Use time travel to undo the mistake & make a better choice or live with the mistake & learn from it. The introduction of Amy can also tie into the “false expectation” theme by showing what happens when you bank your future on a prediction that may not be true. She could find that Sonic isn't the shining knight her fortune cards made him out to be. She finds Sonic attractive for who he is, as it's his courage & compassion that counts above all else.

Rouge would be a perfect fit and I really think an early version of this script had her involved with Kristin Rytter somehow, that character really just walked off screen and never returned despite being a secondary antagonist for the first half.

Would’ve been a perfect tie-in seeing the master emerald drained after Sonic and Shadow used it and you see Chaos coming out of it in the post credits. I actually think the post credit is misleading us, most ppl are thinking it’s the end of the race at the end of the movie but I think this is a completely different race in the future, clearly the trio races there a lot they have 2 separate races in the movie so it makes sense they would go back, so I think it’s just a way for us to go like wait when does this happen. I think Sonic 4 being a mix of CD and Heroes makes sense. I could also see a Shadow spinoff show or movie going through the plot of Shadow 05. I think a show makes more sense to give the episodic nature of the game more time to shine. They could also bring Olive Garden guy back as a stand in for Abraham Towers, or maybe that role could be split between him and Rockwell. As for movie 5, they could mix the plots of Frontiers and Adventure 1 to go more into the lore of the master emerald. I like your theory on Sonic feeling guilty, so what if Team Sonic including Amy go off on their own and find the Starfall Islands and start that plot?

I'M EXCITED FOR MOVIE 4. Here are the things I could and want to see happen in the Movie. - I feel like Tails and Knuckles would get sidelined (mostly for the second act and that they get captured By Metal and his Army) and have Team Hedgehog (Sonic, Amy, and Shadow) be the main heroes of the whole movie. -Shadow would still be a lone wolf even after the end of Movie 4. - Even if we didn't get Amy to redeem Shadow in Movie 3, which is fine since she's not in the main movie, at least give us more Shadow and Amy interactions in Movie 4. - Since Movie 3 played Live and Learn, If Metal Overlord or Super Neo Metal Sonic is in the movie, They should play What I'm Made of for the final battle. - If Jim Carrey does come back in Movie 4, I think he not only has Metal Sonic built before Movie 3, he also has built a humanoid robot android of himself and has a key that contains his conscious to plug in the body. Then he is now in a robot body with human features and now embraces the name that Sonic mostly calls him, "Dr. Eggman". And for Sonic 4 toys, they will now label him as that name instead of "Robotnik".

Tbh I can't be as hyped for sonic 4 as I was for sonic 3 for one reason; When they already adapted the best story in a sonic game with the most depth in the characters, where can they go from here? I definitely agree they need to focus on Amy and Metal Sonic. Like they did with Shadow in movie 3. I think Amy will become the 4th member of Team Sonic by the end of the movie. I do agree they will probably shake things up for movie 4. Which might lead to this being the last movie to take place on Earth at the least for a bit. I think the hint of us seeing New York might mean this movie will take place in New York. I want Shadow to not be in the movie practically at all. Rather focus on Amy and Metal Sonic. Theory time! The way Metal came in was eerily similar to the way the terminator came in from the future w the electricity n stuff, so my big plot theory is that metal came from a “bad future” where eggman/stone took over the world and built metal sonic, death egg maybe and there’s game accurate badniks roaming around, and Amy comes to warn/save sonic in a John Connor like situation, and Sonic possibly travels to that bad future and tries to save it by finding the time stones perhaps? (Sonic cd adaptation basically)

I'd have her be receptive to his feelings but not at first. Maybe she's more subtle and he's overt.

One thing I noticed about Amy Rose's hammer is that it looks so futuristic and mechanical, so the plot for Sonic 4 may involve time travel since both her and Metal Sonic came from CD, a game involving time travel. Coupled with the army of Metal Sonics that's akin to the Terminators, this may end up being the case. Amy coming from the future to warn Sonic about the emergence of Metal Sonic and his army would especially be interesting because of how Amy is often associated with mysticism and fortune-telling. Silver could also possibly be in 4 as well as a companion of Amy's from the future. With time travel possibly being involved, I just hope the story doesn't become too convoluted since time travel is a very touchy and complex concept to even involve in storytelling. As for Shadow's possible spin-off series, that would be the perfect opportunity for delving deeper into Shadow's origins and introducing Rouge and Black Doom into the Cinematic Universe. As for Dr. Robotnik, I personally hope that his "death" remains ambiguous throughout the 4th movie, since his sacrifice in Movie 3 seemed like the perfect swan song for his character. We'll see what happens though. There's just so many possibilities on the direction these movies can go because more and more characters are introduced, along with interesting backstories. It's so exciting to think about.

My theory is that Stone creates Metal from some of Eggmans plans he found, leading to a very 'bad future'. Cue time travel shenanigans to stop this. But just like in the comic, this leads to the triumphant return of the Eggman.

I'd love for Sonic 4 to take a slightly mature route, and have agent Stone try to bring back Eggman to life and harness his intelligence as some kind of bio-AI to create stuff for him. Shadow tells him "you can't bring him back, trust me I've tried" and Stone tells him "if there's one thing the doctor taught me is that nothing is impossible". Shadow warns the Sonic team (now with Amy added into the mix) about Stone's plans, and they all team up to fight against him. Sonic battles with Metal on who is the real thing. Stone wins during the movie (maybe even at the end, having him win the movie for a change) and manages to bring back Eggman to life, but he's different now, closer to the eggman of the games in personality. Less fun, more calculating, more egomaniac, more obsessed with Sonic than ever. Stone doesn't recognize him, and he takes in Shadow's words, realizing he really never can bring him back.
