[Sonic Omens OST] Final Cutscene - Lotus' Death, Breaking the Bracelet & Ending (music by Jyc Row)

Heya everyone!
SO, this is a special release today (to be precise, it's TWO special releases as you can check the other OST I made for Sonic Omens here: • [Sonic Omens OST] Epil... )!
I've recently been asked to compose a track for probably one of the biggest and coolest Sonic fangame ever made: Sonic Omens. My task was to make the background music for the final cutscene of the game and DAMN, what a cutscene!
This soundtrack is kinda separated into three different scenes:
- 1st, Lotus' Death: this is quite a heavy part with the end and revelation on who Locus is. You can hear his leitmotiv/theme in a saddest/more melancolic version.
- 2nd, Breaking the Bracelet: this one is a heavy but more epic one, especially during the most impactful moment of the scene. It has two different leitmotivs: the official one from Sonic X and the customised theme of Sonic from this fangame.
- 3rd, Ending: the last part of the track is a bit more happy, have a more fresh feeling and, for that, I had the help of the vocalist KIRA MARK who did an incredible job! Also, props to John R1se to prepare the vocals stems! :D
In any case, this was the very first time I had to compose with a cutscene as reference and it was really interesting! I learned a lot of things and I wanted to thanks Humanarian for reaching to me and to BOLT to give me this opportunity!
This month will certainly be more focused around video game as, in addition to those two Sonic Omens OST, there'll also be a short track I made for the game "Sirenhead: Southpoint"!

Every time I come back here, I’m always reminded of how unfair it is that Omens itself turned out the way it did… this music is absolutely beautiful. Lotus’ Death is hauntingly serene, Breaking the Bracelet is glorious but heartbreaking (I felt so bad for Sonic…) and 2:55 onwards is pure HEAVEN. All of Omens’ (many) flaws be damned, I will never forget the work that you and all of the game’s composers put into this OST, to make it something truly special, even if, at the end of it all, it wasn’t meant to be. This….this is beautiful! It would totally fit during the part in Sonic 2 (the movie, not the game) where Super Sonic makes his cinimatic debut, followed by the emotional scene between Sonic and Tom. My brain: “How have you not listened to this before?!” Me: “I have NO idea!”

I loved the game. At first I hated even mentioning it existed, but then I got hooked onto 'weight of the world', and from there explored the ost, and then eventually found myself downloading the game and playing it 10 times through. The music sold everything for me, and just added to everything. Everyone did such an amazing job overall, and this scene-- combined with the music-- really brought me to tears, even through my replays. I wish that it had had a better outcome, rather than what had actually happened. I really do hope that you enjoyed working on the game, because this song alone added so much impact to an already pretty impactful ending.

Hey, in case you're unaware, the reason you were brought on at pretty much the very last minute to make these tracks is because Techno Cinema left the project due to life circumstances beyond his control and bad treatment from the rest of the team.

This music has be composed from scratch by me. What you heard involved other track from another composer of the game. Though, I have to say that the one who spread rumors has been debunked, as far as I know. I'm just an external composer they hired, who did his job and who isn't even part of the sonic fandom at all (and from what I saw I wouldn't even touch that fandom with a stick)
