*Man, thanks for the video, but I gotta say it's really confusing. I think you should have added some texts with instructions. For example, are these steps the same for EVERY mod I download from SRB2 website? Some of them are in pk3 format, for example. So I imagine the process is different? Sorry about that, I'm really new to the SRB2 mods world. Is there a way to remove/delete a mod without messing with the vanilla game?*

Ok, maybe you figured out (since it has been 9 months) but the steps are all the same and if you erase an addon you aren't going to mess anything.

Well, I haven't downloaded many mods to it, since I was afraid of messing it up! Lol! Thanks to you your answer, now I know I can delete these mods without affecting the base game.

For those struggling when they already did all the steps for downloading 3D models like me remember to make the renderer OpenGL and go to the bottom to see ''Renderer'' and ''OpenGL options'' go in OpenGL options and turn on models

question, when i did this i was trying to get as sonic models but for some reason all models worked except for that. i did all the steps. plus I put those models to the normal models folder so..? did I mess something up? *Edit 5/13/22*: I found out the problem. Sa Sonic works now. however the goal ring does not. and I know why. models.dat is. Can you tell me what text am i supposed to insert for the goal ring? the only way i can do it for now is using a different .exe file that temporarily gives it the 3d model.

Launch the game, then quit the game, and then suddenly, addons folder appear. Also you can download addons on the Addons and more section in the message board.

I’ve downloaded it, extracted it, and moved them to the models folder, and they’re still not showing up in game. What am I doing wrong? Oh never mind. Forgot to add the text files to the models folder.

@@toastialian The models come with text files. After extracting them, copy and paste the text into the .txt file called “models”.

There's a different way to stop that go to your options, click it, then click player 1 controls, go down to play style it should say standard, click on it, you should have two other options for your play style, to not have any character rotation chose simple, if you want to go old school srb2 play style chose strafe, now you won't need a mod for it

You can turn the models.dat file in to models.txt and then you change it (remember to save and then turn it to models.dat again)

You can’t use mods in the normal story mode. You’ll have to find a complete 100% save file and use the level select option.

If thats ocurring try turning the numbers at the end of the text to 3.0 0.0 (wich is the normal height for a model) then save, turn your models.txt in to models.dat and it should be fine
