As far back as 2010 mind you. Mario and Sackboy were originally planned to be console exclusive characters on the respective platforms they originated from but mario was declined for the wii version because of the Mario and Sonic olympics and sackboy was more or less rumored for PS3 but nothing came about it.

I always thought of him as a traitor to Nintendo after Microsoft got him. Well he's (sort of) back again at least. I just don't know which was worse when he appeared in this game? His design based on Nuts and Bolts or that he was an Xbox exclusive racer. Well here's hoping for a new Banjo game on Switch, back to Nintendo where he belongs.

People be talking about Smash Bros Ultimate here, can we just talk about that they added 2, 2 characters from non SEGA games, Banjo and Kazooie, and 3 of the classes from Team Fortress 2, just why SEGA, what were you thinking at the time adding a NINTENDO character and for no apparent reason Team Fortress 2, even though they cannot get the original voice actors.
