It didn't help that the game came out a few days before Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and that the switch version is pretty ugly compared to any other platform. I can forgive the tedious boss fights, as I love Sonic Rush and it suffered from them too.

You can finish the bosses more quickly if you use the chaos powers.(other final bosses of every campaign) and i found it funny that emerald powers are 10 times more usefull in the bosses lmao

@@NNCReviews not only copy, but other than blue and purple chaos emeralds have their uses in every fight so that (mostly) eliminate the boss problem for me but not completely since mecha fang mk2 exist

Yeah there's a good few I like and appreciate but the rest are kinda blah. I think the later half of the game is really when my issue with the bosses comes in, because it's not until sand sanctuary where it gets bad

the style of the game as a whole is gorgeous, but yeah, the game kinda falls flat with the bosses. im not the best at platformers/sonic games but still, really fun game honestly! great vid btw :)

I hated Fang final bosses the most, phase 1 was enough, phase 2 is BULLSHIT!!! It took me 136 attempts to beat since last year when it released! I beat it last month! And the final story, holy shitbit was hell...

i think the game looks ugly because i don't really like the colours, and it visually just ends up looking like a cheap mobile game, which just feels low-quality - not sure WHY, though

I can't help but disagree more, I think the colors are exactly what I want out of a classic game, they clash in the perfect way possible! I think on new gen hardware the game looks great

@@NNCReviewsit’s just that everything ends up looking really “plasticy”. Not saying it needs to look like generations level of detail but even the classic games portrayed more detail into its backgrounds and stage textures. The way superstars looks in certain scenarios end up looking like a remastered Wii game more than it does mimicking the “classic art direction”. I feel like lost world did a better job in that department than superstars…
