Eggman is one of those villains that just delivers at sometimes, he can act goofy but doesn't cover up the fact the amount of times he's almost killed sonic took over the world or destroyed it in that matter, really shows how much he hates that hedgehog

I can see that playing during a full-scale invasion by Eggman, with his Egg Fleet swarming the skies and his robot (or robots, since Forces shows he has multiple of these things) marching below. I feel like the games don’t play around with the sheer size or power of Eggman’s army nearly as much as they should

Here from AL, and I got to say, as a die hard of this series, this piece encapsulates EVERYTHING that makes Eggman a vicious threat, but a lovable badass. Actually the most criminally underrated Sonic OST recreation ever made, and I hope this gets a spike in the algorithm or something, because holy shit do you deserve every bit of support, legitimately stellar. I enjoy this, It really speaks about eggman, in the different seg(g)ments in this song. A huge threat, looming, and powerful, but when you get closer, you see he's incredibly goofy. Yet psychotic, then it goes back to you realizing not to joke around when trying to defeat him.

Did anyone else notice that the section at 1:35 is contrapunctal with some fugue like elements like theme exposition with some imitations in over voices and in-between episodes that end at in a cadence?

it was a very early and very clumsy attempt at a fugue, yes! I've since done better in other pieces xD

You usually have the theme and the answer to the theme a fifth above or forth bellow and then the theme again in the original tonality with it either ending the exposition there or adding fourth voice with the answer. You instead have imitations in the fifth and then imitations in the fifth of the imitations in the fifth, so just moving in fifths. This is usually even harder than the fugue cause it means you have a Canon in the fifth and the second at the same time. So you just made your life even harder there.
