Honestly Sonic from 06 was just the right kind. In his later games he was more cocky and comical. He was strong, confident, and also a bit sentimental. Sonic 06 has a lot of bad reviews but honestly if it was remastered and the glitches were fixed, it would be a real great sonic game. The story line and character development for Sonic, Silver, Shadow, and the Villains were great. Plus the side characters like tails had so much courage and is willing to fight along Sonic. Now everyone and there characters in the modern sonic are just useless and really have no meaning. Sonic 06 has a bad rep because of the mechanics and the glitches and everyone rides that band wagon. If you take that away you get a great story line. Where we feel attached to everyone's Plot and Arc. Even as the game progresses you feel it taking a dark turn. No Sonic game now really does that. You feel the need to save the day especially because of the Main Villian. Anyway I believe Sega should create another game with a story just as unique with great level design. Been waiting for a real good Sonic Adventure game.

(not thinking if they had rushed it, it would have come out this bad.) And 2.) They wanted it to be one of the first next gen games at the time so with that being said the whole project was rushed...

Ah, my childhood! I used to play this game with my siblings back in the day on our Xbox 360 when I was a child (I died quite a lot in that game)! I actually like this game despite its very poor reviews! For me, it has awesome storyline and the gameplay is alright! to be honest the CGI cut scenes were ALWAYS good...i never understood people who said they were shit...yes Sonic 06 had a lot of issues but the graphics wasn't one of them. people also bitched about how "un-eggman like" the robots were and although some of them look too real i admit...the Egg Genesis looked almost like a large E-Series Robot...he even had the green eyes like Gamma

The robots were the most fitting for Eggman he's ever had. He was gravitating to more serious and realistic robots since Adventure and he based the design of the Egg Flyers and Egg Gunners off of the GUN robots to show he can do better which is a cool character development moment for him. The aesthetics in this game were perfect. The robot designs were perfect, the realistic Eggman and character designs for the Humans and Mobians were perfect, and the setting was perfect. @@IDyce88

Honestly, this game has Sonic (attitude wise from the adventure games) in his prime. He wasn't to cocky, but he wasn't to cold. He was laid back and free, but could get serious if he needed to. This game will always be a strange one, and I know from playing it myself that its glitches, long loading screens, and no save feature make it almost unbearable. But just like every other Sonic game, it does have its moments, just not nearly enough to make up for all those glitches and the whole romantic story with Sonic and Elise. And even then, Sonic still felt like Sonic.

I just realized something. I think Mephiles' shadow form is an easter egg. In sonic adventure 2 everyone thought Shadow was Sonic because they looked the same, but actually they didnt look alike it was just gamewise. Now Mephiles looks almost identical to Shadow that gives a logical reason to be confused.

The plot is just Elise getting kidnapped by Eggman and Sonic going to rescue her, then being kidnapped again because Sonic gets distracted by something. Every stage revolves around Sonic going to save the princess or returning with the saved princess, then there's a cutscene and she gets kidnapped again.

Have you seen that movie created by Guillermo del Toro called "The Shape of Water"? The anthropomorphic character in the movie had predominantly human features and people were still repulsed by it. My main point is that if sonic resembles a hedgehog then he will be classified as a animal. I really wish they could have created a hedgehog love interest instead of sticking with the human.

I am obsessed with completing this game, I couldn't get past wave oceans Mach speed section for years, I beat it made it to the the volcanic core, right after crisis city. my Xbox 360 was taken by my brother, who used it once, and had it by his PC for half a year, I'm taking it back tomorrow and hopefully it has still saved (I know it has no auto save, I manually save after every level, so I don't have to restart the ENTIRE game, just the level.) I've been talking for a bit too long

UPDATE: I’ve got the game and it’s alright, I only got 1 glitch in Wave Ocean and one glitch in the first boss. And Silver’s boss battle is horrible! But all together: better than I thought but the Silver boss sucked.

Editing out the loading screen is awesome, if you play the game perfectly, you have to sit through 465 loading screens, are those are the ones you HAVE to do, without retries, without side quests that don't advance the game, that is two collective hours of nothing, waiting for something to happen
