The first scene, and that second scene where Sonic and Shadow talked about the pain of loss and the connection between grief and great love reminds me of my sister since she passed away age 29 on January 27th, 2024, and same with my brother's cousin that passed away age 26 on January 14th, 2022 💔💔😭😭 We really miss them so much! 😭💔

@YangTheAce in Shadow 2005(the game) it was shown that Shadow could beat Sonic at any time he wanted. In Shadow the hedgehog I don't even need to say anything. In Sonic x Shadow demolished team sonic I don't know how many times. In the movie he could have ended him 2 times. This is debatable, Sonic fans have their arguments and we Shadow fans have our arguments and we can not say for sure. But the way the hype Shadow up all the time and his chaos powers and the fact that his not even fighting at full power almost all the time, make me come into the conclusion that Shadow can end him anytime he wants if he really has the intention to end him

Why is Sonic so mean to Shadow? Shadow lost Maria so Sonic shouldn’t be so rude to the poor black and red hedgehog. Shadow went through a lot of emotional pain and suffering during his origins so why does Sonic have to pour more salt to the wound? Why can’t Sonic try to make peace with Shadow? Instead Sonic chooses to quarrel with Shadow. It’s terrible. Sonic doesn’t know what it’s like to lose a best friend who’s a innocent human girl child half a century ago to hostile G.U.N. soldiers and he’s supposed to be a “hero”. What is wrong with with Sonic? He should be ashamed of himself. Why isn’t he? In the first two movies, Sonic was a lot more relaxed and likable. He was nice and cared for those around him and protected them from Dr. Eggman. Why isn’t he like this in the third movie at all? This is tragically disappointing!

@kishawoodward Well, there is some cases where the hero really should finish the villain, but this is definitely not one of them. Shadow is not even a villain, he was just doing what he was doing because he trusted Gerald, since they both experienced the same thing, and believed that the pain would go away if he "avenged" Maria. But when he sees Sonic went through a similar experience to his, but still didn't take the revenge by k1lling him, he questions if what he was doing was really the right thing. That's why he joins Sonic and fix his mistakes. If you think that all the heroes should end their villains, even if they are open to redemption... that's quite a dangerous point of view.

Not to say, if Sonic really had ended Shadow, he wouldn't be able to stop the Eclipse Cannon and everything would be destroyed. Showing the meaningless of revenge, Sonic would have failed to save his beloved planet, and would still feel guilty for finishing someone with his own hands. I'm not a big fan of heroes forgiving the villains on the final fight, but I absolutely LOVE IT when there's a good reason. And atleast in my point of view, that's the best I have seem in a while.
