Honestly, a huge reason Shadows powers are so prevalent in this movie is because director Jeff Fowler ALSO worked on the opening cutscene for the Shadow the Hedgehog game years ago. It's basically like coming back to his roots.

I'm already happy, we literally got the greatest and best cast trio in Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles that we'll ever get. If they stopped now, I'd be so satisfied. The fact that we're getting Gerald Robotnik, Maria, AND Shadow in the same movie is wild (they really seem to care about the lore, and that tugs on my feels really hard). You're not crying, _I'm crying._ I see this heading in one of two directions (or possibly a route that connects both of them if they play their cards right). Either they go the Mecha Sonic route, and possibly even give us a fully sentient MK II as a looming threat in the background with the metal virus as the main antagonistic force, or they go the Perfect Chaos route and build the story that way.

@@_The_Traveler_ have you forgotten about the biolizard? Another words, the prototype project shadow? Why wouldn't they go that route instead

@@jordanmatthews4749 No, I didn't forget. Perfect Chaos is more interesting in my opinion, biolizard is basically just a failed science experiment. It's an interesting thread for Shadow's specific backstory, but Perfect Chaos links back to the echidna tribes we saw in the first and second films and opens up a lot of story potential for world building.

I have a theory that if all goes well at the box office, we're heading towards a Super Smash Bros movie. Kinda like the gaming movie equivalent of the Avengers. And I'm all for it 🤙

I AM SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT OF THIS!! And it makes sense because if you think about,mario got a movie (with peach,luigi,donkey kong and diddy kong),sonic got a movie,link is getting a movie made, and pikachu got a movie (Detective Pikachu).

Sonic will win. Most anticipated film. Disney does well in animation, live action is a gamble for them. Kinda like rolling the dice it's up or down. Not to mention releasing Sonic in December. Smart strategy it's going to clean up during holiday season, and it's for all audiences. I hope you enjoy mufasa & moana 2.
