I'm trying to be less picky about my arrangements, so I can upload videos more frequently... I told myself, "don't think, just play, Aivi!" So, instead of carefully planning out the arrangement beforehand like I usually do, I hit "record" with just that little yellow post-it note to help me. If you've ever wondered what me attempting to have fun, and trying to improvise, and dressing in the colors of the characters, and making mistakes, and editing the video poorly, and hoping that my keyboard won't explode looks like... this is it!

@keyshuffles I definitely know your pain! I usually have hours of rejected takes for each video... I'm glad that you liked this one, even though I forced myself to not be picky. As for syncing, I counted "1-2-3-4" in the beginning to make sure both piano parts would start at the same time. I recorded bass first, which keeps a steady rhythm throughout the song, and tried my best to follow on treble. By a very lucky accident, everything worked out! I guess no one can predict me better than me :)

Absolutely amazing. I loved that shift to 3/4 in the middle. I only wish it'd gone on longer. People like you on KZbin are what remind me just how beautiful game music can really be when arranged for the piano. If while simultaneously making me curse my somewhat less dextrous hands. =P Gotta have a bar to aspire to, right? In short, awesome arrangement.

This theme is truly timeless. I was a Nintendo kid and I had an NES before I had a Genesis, but this is the song that I will FOREVER associate with my childhood. I even remember my mom chiming in while I was playing Sonic and saying how great this theme sounded. And you played it beautifully. Thank you!!!
