I love Polygon and Patrick (and BDG, obviously), and Ben is really funny in there, doing what he does best, but Larry King's questions were just more interesting, and Ben seemed to be a lot more eager to share as well. I mean, you need to balance the silliness with information in these things, and I think this interview did it quite nicely.

Ben's portrayal of sonic seems to have the best bits from each actor. He has roger's (sonic boom) sarcasm, Ryan (sonic heroes) adventurous side, Jason's (sonic riders/rush) confidence, martin's (sonic ova eng dub) Smugness and even a touch of jaleel white's friendliness thrown in. Granted he's just doing his Dewy voice from the new ducktales, but sonic has always been this adventurous, optimistic guy who cares about his friends and likes to take sarcastic jabs at eggman's expense. Each of the older voice actors does well in only a few part of sonic's personality. Ben Schwartz seems to do all of them really well. If he did the voices for the games from now on, I often wonder how they would redesign him to match this new voice (besides the realistic design).

Ben Schwartz is definitely a great pick to be the voice of Sonic. There's been others throughout the years...such as Roger Craig Smith, Ryan Drummond, and Urkel 😂 However, Ben Schwartz really captures the essence of how young and vibrant Sonic is. I mean, Sonic would biologically be 28 as of now, but in the virtual universe...he's perpetually a 16 year old blue hedgehog, who continues running throughout life 😌

Sonic 1 isn’t fast paced after green hill zone. After green hill zone it slows down to a crawl. Sonic Cd is slow paced too but, Sonic Cd has a great soundtrack and great visuals.
