God, I miss this game. This is my favorite Sonic game. I really wish they kept the gimmicks around more. Each game was unique and Sonic was never monotonous. The gimmicks themselves were fun and functional, too. I miss when SEGA didn't sell out to the nostalgia fans, but well... What could they do? They needed to make more money and add some "cred" to their series. But it'd be nice to see a return to trying new things in a couple years.
