The robot Shadow fought is Emerl, who first appeared in Sonic Battle in 2003. And yes, Emerl was later featured in Sonic X. I was actually speechless when I first saw the animation. They did an incredible job making this animation. It looks so clean and stunning! I was amazed! I nearly cried when Shadow had flashbacks of Maria at the end of the series. He really misses Maria so much. Anyway, great reaction there, Ultra!

Sorry I had to delete my other comment, a certain guy thought he could play smart by judging me about my way to comment and try to make me feel guilty with this. So I deleted it so his stupid comment doesn't exist anymore. So here's a new and more abridged version of my comment and if there are repetitions, that's normal: I was impressed by this animation too, by anything in this! The artstyle, music, Team Dark's triumphant return (Rouge and her charism, Omega with his calls to dibs that had me dead🤣🤣 and... everything about Shadow!)... We really feel this animation was full of love and mastery! It has this poetic and anime-like vibe that was always peak in the franchise (which isn't surprising when you know that the creators officially quoted Evangelion and FLCL as anime inspirations for this animation!)! We see since Frontiers that Sega tries to conquer a Japanese community with Sonic, and obviously, the Japanese creations give birth to magnificent and poetic stories like this one! :) It was cute when you get moved by the end of the animation, that's adorable to see you such emotive🥹🥹 You deserve metaphorical hugs. ^^
