I know how you feel, but I have nothing against the choice of music they made nowadays. However, ever since I saw SF Productions' video about the Chaos Island Act 1 Remix that was done by R.B.U., he thought up a reason why the soundtrack team decided to remix the Chaos Island themes for SXSG. They wanted to pay homage to Cyber Space from Sonic Frontiers, since those stages feature EDM, Dubstep, Drum Synth and more. Like say this: What if they took the music from that game that was originally meant for an open-zone exploration, remix with those elements, and make it into something that fits this stage as a boost level for this game.
