@@MarcNeilson1 I think they do, I've seen interviews where Moore would jokingly say "maybe we didn't sell enough tapes and cds" and Kim was asked her response was "we don't control that, it's decided by people who only know one or two of our songs, it would be nice but not a requirement for us to say we kicked ass" Sales have a part in it unfortunately, while rap and hard rock were mainstream in my area at the time, it was the skaters who would bust out SY. I'm sad to say I didn't discover SY til 2014 but I'm glad I did. Pink steam, chapel hill and stones are probably my favs

I think it's probably just a combination of age and smoking. I checked out some of their songs they performed live in the late 80s and 90s and she sounded better live. She's was around 53 here and I only assume it has to be smoking because I listen to Garbage who still play live and shirley Manson still has retained her voice at the age of 51 and I don't think she smokes or parties heavily plus she kept consistently touring so yeah.
