Hey Burgs I stepped out of my comfort zone recently and bought a Mooer micro preamp to replace my amp for gigs. I do not regret it! Still feels strange to me but 10/10 for convenience and sound quality.

When you say the drums can be synced up. What are they synced up with? With the Lopper?
@thedeadxtras99277 күн бұрын
Correct mate synced to start and stop recording perfectly in time with the looper which is a great looping feature and makes the whole looping process a million times quicker, easier and creative. So you don’t have to M Keep recording the same loop god knows how many times and having to hit start and stop loop recording points exactly to the millisecond. And your loop drifting out of time after a few loops. Just makes it all so much easier.

Didn’t the Matribox version II just come out?
@robertj1303 Жыл бұрын
Mooer Prime P1 and foot switch and not released yet but Prime P2, take a look Brett. Editing is with the phone so you dont need a computer, got some missing amp models though. I have one and use for recording with Logic Pro X for iPad so I can record on the move without carrying too much. its the size of an iPod

Did you know Matribox II came out 2 weeks ago with more, not Mooer haha. its $229 so more + more $. Has a lot of JTM45 than the original which interests me.

Yeah I have it, very similar..the fidelity might actually be better

This looks and sounds very similar to the Valeton GP-100 (which I own). Great value for money and ideal for quick dirty recording or late night practice sessions with headphones on. Certainly not on a par with top-line units or a decent valve pre-amp through quality IRs. However these are expensive and can be a pain in the rear end to set up. These little units are also ideal for taking out to gigs to act as a spare rig. Take out the amp sims and it will cover most of your pedal needs if your board goes down. A solid piece of kit (based on my experience with the Valeton GP-100).

I know my comment is a long time after yours mate. Valeton and Sonicake are actually the same company’s just cornering the market by putting out almost identical multi FX with the same internal brain and features, just changing the housing and selling u see different brand names.?there’s probably slight variants, but basically pretty much the same products. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure Hotone are owned by the same people as well. but marketed as a bit more pro end

@@thedeadxtras9927 That's kind of implicit in my reply. I know the Sonicake Ebay shop has the Valeton stuff there and the specs of the Matribox are virtually identical to the Valeton GP. Not sure about Hotone but there is a reasonable chance they make those in the same factory using similar, if slightly higher spec, components. Rather like when Amazon released their own brand of effects they were literally the Nu-X mini pedals rebranded (I think Josh Scott took several apart and the insides had Nu-X labels on there!).

Can you stack two delays at once? Or create a custom preset to do so? (Ie, two of the same effect)
@LonePigsyAndCub Жыл бұрын
Hey Bret, could you please demo the Matribox's envelope filter? It's the most important effect for me on units like this as I play a lot of Jerry Garcia. I just had two let downs in a row in this regard, first with the Mooer GE100 and yesterday with a used Digitech RP55 I bought as back up for my (somehow)"trusty" RP50... they absolutely ruined the envelope filter sound in the RP55. I use these for busking and a small weekly gig on a floating bar, but I live on an island and rarely have the luxury of tryin' before buyin'! Thanks!

Still sounds pretty fizzy to me, tbh. Maybe that's just YT through my phone speaker.

I cast y/tub from my phone to my 5.1 audio hifi and speakers and send the picture and audio through a chromecast wifi to my TV and hifi if you will, and it actually sounds quite good through that. Even my phone alone with good quality wired headphones ( rather than the horrible ear-buds which shift ,sound bad ,and give you brain csncer) the sudio on many of these KZbin vids is better than the external speakers, which are probably optimised to produce speach-range sounds.
@rohanm8526 Жыл бұрын
@@chrisgmurray3622 you're right, I probably shouldn't comment. I usually listen through studio monitors wired up to my laptop, but didn't on this occasion. I'm generally not a fan of modern, high-gain distortion though. But maybe the OD sounds better than I heard on this occasion 🙂
