The reason Mephiles looks so Similar To Shadow Is Because In Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) Shadpw amd Rouge had an artifact that held half of iblis and since it technicaly broke or chipped (idk what happened) Mephiles Took Shadow's Shadow and also Mephiles is Half of the flame elise was holding...And the famous Form mephiles holds is dubbed Mephile v2 mephiles v1 is a more bland version (Edit: Please Like The Comment i worked hard to know sonic lore)

Black doom is there because of timeline stuff. Also black doom is not shadows father Gerald robot. Nick is shadow’s actual dad because he actually treated shadow like a real father should black doom just treated him as a tool. I mean yeah, eventually he did all the shadows memory pretty wasn’t there when Maria died so he didn’t know that one movie I wanted shadow to do and now he has called shadow his son twice in the shadow, the hedgehog game, and here when he went off to face black doom a second time
