Because it has happened every single time, that's why. Sonic was meant to main SFV...quit. Was meant to main Tekken 7... quit. And wouldn't be surprising if he quits SF6 as he won't be winning majors the way he'd be winning MK1 tournaments. Though people are also saying that he quit MK11 because he can't beat the Chilean Twins... there will always be things to say about Sonic, but in the end, he's a top player everywhere. Might not found as much success in Tekken or SF as he did in NRS games, but still one of the best overall in history.

That's because the combo started with a perfect parry which scale the damage down by a lot. I'd say the goal of the combo was to get the opponent to the corner, which Ken is great at doing. Ken carried JP all the way to the corner starting at full screen.

@atkascha What people have always said about Sonic is that he plays games with "no competition" and "wins tournaments for lesser skilled games". Calling him a big fish in a small pound as historically, NRS players have always struggled with other FGs that are more technical. When he tried to main SFV and Tekken 7 he found no success and went back to MK/Injustice, even in DOA6 and SC6 he struggled quite a bit as better players joined in. DBFZ was the one game with more recognition were he dominated in; strange that he dropped that one too, but probably related to the level Wawa and Nitro have achieved now, even GO1 dropped it as he said he couldn't catch up to that level for EVO 2022. So what that dude is saying is true to a certain point, but that doesn't dimishes the impact he's had. Out of the people picked that year for F30U30, he's the only one that has had a bigger impact in the industry and has remained relevant though his best years were 2014-2017. Would be amazing to see him get a top 8 in SF6 this EVO.
