@@Prosodyyeveryone at a high level spends hours in training, there’s a reason why sonic can play multiple games at once and beat people who spend all their time on one game, he is able to figure things out and optimize unusually quickly, not to discredit the work he puts in but others put in just as much work and don’t get the results he does

Shao is so much fun and nobody is really looking at him much yet. He has great possibilities without the axe. Plus frames on B2 and 224, Armored command grab or mid with plusframes, ground pound set ups, mixups. Quick Overhead launcher and tick throws. Armored launcher if you dont hit him. All of that while having great damage and being hella fun

I love how underrated General Shao is. His 50/50s are really fun and I use Goro assist so even if the guess right they have to deal with Goro’s unblockable. Shao is such a bully 😂

Try using his zoning move more. The one where he slams his axe down (NOT when its already out-of-hand, the one where hes still holding it and then slams it. Its got a far screen reach.) It works similar to a ground pound in that you can avoid it by jumping.

​@ELG-Supercell1000 it's got a slow start up, but if you use it in conjunction with kano's knives, you can time it to where kano's knives counter them trying to jump above it and it becomes a trap they fall into. Kinda like stage control in a way. In my experience that trick works 95% of the time

He’s not doing the main combo though, like the db3 knee thing meter burn combos into the df4 axe drop, he gets like 40% for hitting an anti air or hit conforming off 22

@@Pill-Cosby He’s slow, a big body made for easy juggles, and has little to no mixup game. Also he can be zoned out pretty easy. Like I told another person only good thing is his range. With all the fast poke cheese he’s just not worth it.

Although im laying out bodies as G. Shao in this game they could've not done the tag in like combat for this, it feels short and very handheld as opposed to previous titles and it feels too easy as tueir is a lack of combos and combat in the game to begin with. I still like the game but it is lacking in my observed opinion. Like it feels like im missing content whenever I play.

Kameos, not part of the time line but there iterations from older games with a few moves that are from the old games, can also do grabs with them

i srsly want you to keep learning shao, i main him and im somewhat still new to MK. ik enough of his basic combos and pickups but to see you learn him to his max potential would be a godsend. he pumps out so much dmg but has mid neutral (im sure u know that by now lol) but i wanna keep playing him before i give up and pick up raiden or reiko 😿
