As a Baraka main I expected that match up to go like that. Baraka is a well rounded character easy to use many tricks up his sleeves too. Even with a noob player if use Baraka correctly you can beat pro’s with him

Before characters had crazy innovative skill sets Scorpion use to be dope. Now he's a mixed bag, of good and bad. Mid attack wise, Scorpion is nice, but he doesn't present much outside of that. Lui Kang, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Sonya Blade, ect., their mix-up game has evolved greatly; not Scorpion's, and it shows.
