You come to any new realizations with Cyrax? Because I don't know that net and throw combo is worth giving up Scorpion, and I'm not convinced by Cyrax's invisibility routes.

For me it’s not the amount of characters he plays; it’s the flipping tech he finds with characters. I see him posting so much tech on X/Twitter it’s amazing to watch it all. Even if the % is 2-3 difference

He has fundamentals, his neutral, footsies, setplay lack of holes, matchup knowledge and you take that and can use pretty much any character and do 30% combos and win because his fundamentals are better than everyone. He said Rewind, Xombat, Foxy are 1%ers Dragon has amazing fundamentals but has been struggling in MK1 I believe it's because of his strong depression and life problems. But I have always loved Honeybee, he's a good player probably top 5-10% along with Scar, Semij, TekkenMaster, Tweedy, Biohazard(Bees Brother), Lin Kuei Master, K7 Showoff and id say Cossner(is a top 15%er and Reptile main in MK1) There's some pretty good players showing up on Destroyers Champions Of The Realms tournament which is paying more than Majors... YoungMonster beat Dragon with Ashrah vs Ashrah both used Sareena Kameo but Dragon used Light stance mainly and YoungMonster used Dark Stance

this was super fun to watch and a great display of both of yall skill. I think yall differ in that sonic employs mix with cyrax, and opts for making his setplay stronger, where as like sonic said, you'd rather rely on fundamentals to get an opening and capitalize with big damage ie. "playing too honest", so its a difference of philosophies I think. Overall what I got from this is both cyrax and scorpion are really good cameos for reptile. Sonic def showed the sauce this set.

True thats why set play is strong cuz it stops neutral. Scorp gives a ton of damage but you will heavily rely on fundamentals, which is harder when faced with pros with best reactions.

That not how it works though, being the better player doesn’t automatically mean better with the character. Thats why honeybee said fox is the better player at the end while fox said he doesn’t have the better reptile. Cause what fox won with was fundamentals that aren’t necessarily specific to reptile or any specific character, but just being a godlike MK player in general. Like I could show off little to no tech for a character but beat them in a match with way better fundamentals, that would make me the better player but not necessarily the better player of the character. They both recognised that in this stream so if you disagree you are disagreeing with honeybee and sonic

For me as am seeing things i dont think sonic is using cyrax for damage combos i think he is using him like a setup kameo or a kameo to lure you in so that u can get punished he knows cyrax doesn't do damage like scorpion the game isn't about damage i think thats why sonic is so different from other players maybe am wrong wat your options

I get sonic isnt a reptile main but he was dropping the throw kameo more than half the time. at which point all that its offering you is worse invis setups and some corner shenanigans that youre not going to use because youd rather be invis with someone in the corner. Scorp is still the better choice

Although with a lot of practice for the timings, cyrax might be better in the long run imo. This set just shows that HB has more experience with Reptile. Honeybee is right. Scorpion and tremor are the best cameos for reptile. He has proven it with all his videos and combos. But sonicfox being such a great player makes anything look viable. The fact he can mirror match ppl using their mains and still win the majority is amazing. He has done with against kombat using Johnny. Against koisy using sindel. Plus many others is previous mk and injustice games. But just cause he is a better player and wins more matches doesn’t mean he is right about cyrax being a better cameo for reptile.

Exactly sir. Best comment here. Sonic is just the best MK player of all time so he has the ability to beat almost anyone with their own character. But Honeybee is right. Tremor and Scorpion give Reptile more utility than Cyrax does. Basically here is what happened here: Pro Player + Reptile + Best Cameo =< Greatest MK Player + Reptile + Solid Cameo So even though Sonic’s cameo choice is slightly weaker than Honeybee’s, he makes up for it with his fundamentals as a player (which again, are arguably the best in the game)

Scorpion main draw with reptile is the combo extension,that scorp overhead won't catch other top players easily,and the spear evade just takes reptile full screen to be zoned out. Honeybee landed that 40+ combo like twice the whole video. Sonic on the other hand landed that 27+ damage very consistently,along with getting extra throw damage,net to beat out force ball/projectile and good OKI. Oh well

As I said before, Reptile does NOT need any buffs, and he's NOT boring. As for the Kameos, yes Sonic does have a good point, HB plays Reptile/Scorpion too honest. HB should at least try Cyrax or even Stryker with Reptile.
