Totally relatable. When I was 6-8 years old I lived in New York state and the radio station I liked the most played all this stuff, looking back they really did play mostly songs that went on to be known. This is is one of them and it took close to 20 years to figure out the name despite hearing it plenty of times between then and the time of discovery

@laura-leemacrae4639 Wow, that must've been pure extasy. I even get a kick listening to this by myself in my room. There is indeed something magical about this song. It hits the right spot in a way it has not been hit before. Older music has got that thing you cannot quite put your finger on but it's there. I very very rarely get this from the artists we got nowadays. Nothing wrong with them, I just don't get that pure bliss that makes your eyes watery and your body flow

I grew up in the 90's, I was born in 1991, and there's something about remembering just the way America was, how entertainment was and just how good the vibes were back then, but thing is you'd never have known that then, it's only looking back now do we realize how good it was when life wasn't so hectic, we could be kids and walk the streets or ride your bike around with all your friends. Nowadays everyone is so antisocial and distant from each other and it just feels like everything is falling apart at the seams. The veil is lifting.

Look at the innovation and variety in pop music any decade from 1960. But the last 20 years have had no innovation and little variety. About once a year I play some of Lady Gaga's most famous songs to a musical friend. Five minutes later I ask him "sing the tune back to me" and he can't. Totally unmemorable. But I hear my nieces in their 20s listening to Depeche Mode songs from two decades before they were born. And I'm amazed at how many TV ads use music from Marc Bolan. So glad I lived those times.

Anyone here from the Pentatonix 90's Dance Medley video? I was not familiar with this song before but I LOVE it. Also love the homoerotic vibe of the video. Sad, but not surprised that 1998 MTV wouldn't air this.

I've read editorials stating the 90's was the last great decade. We were not inundated and obsessed with technology and glued to our smartphones, tablets, social media, etc. I totally agree. If you grew up during the 90's you know what I mean. Grunge music was born. Electronica was huge. JNCO pants. Jeno. Underground rave scenes you only heard about word-of-mouth or by fliers.

Sorry, I must disagree. The 70s was the last great decade. The technology to do this song existed; the instrumental music ability would have precedence.
