An Open Door | Tommy Bates | 2023 Camp Meeting

Pastor Tommy Bates from Independence Kentucky reads Revelation 3:6-8 teaching on the call of God on the life of David. Reading in 1st Samuel 16:1 we see the Lord tells Samuel, stop your mourning, go to the House of Jessie for there you will find one of his sons to be God’s anointed king. The Lord said fill your horn with oil, take a sacrifice, and go. These were types of the Holy Spirit and the Cross. David was God’s anointed in the house of his brethren, over Judah, and the world. Brother Bates says the Spirit of God is looking for some David’s today. Just as He did for David, God has an open door for every believer; we are all called to take His gospel to a lost and dying world. Heed His call, and the Holy Spirit will move mightily.

Yes, as of today, 7 years, 7 months and 27 days the doctor gave me 30 days to live, he said I had a rare type of cancer, he called it urachal cancer. Thank God I was 54, now 61 and when I received Jesus as my savior, I was 23. I knew my God was to do great things on me!!! He Didi it!!! I’m still here and preaching His Word!!! Pray for us, we are on the proses of building a small Hispanic church here in El Paso, Tx, were we live. We have no idea about construction and really need God to guide us, that every penny we spend, be well spent. Have no room for errors. Thanks for your prayers, blessings.

I excitedly enjoy the Passion Translation it’s the awesome. I have 26 Bibles w most of the translations. Reading the Passion Translation inspires me very much. Its as if I’ve never read the Word before. I’m 82 years old. I was baptized w the Holy Ghost and fire spoke in tongue for about 45 minutes. I was privileged to attend Bible College .
