Tommy Bates came to my church when I was still a teenager. I had never heard anyone play a piano and sing like him in my life. I went on several mission trips to Mexico with him and he always preached at our Youth Camp in Barbourville KY. He has family roots in the hills of Ky. He tells a lot of the stories of the Pentecostals in the mountains.
